Occupiers or Grifters

Do you expect people to act civilized in a society that treats them in an uncivilized manner? Have you ever travelled to a poor country, one with limited social programs? Why do you think travel advisors tell people to remain in or near the resort? Hungry, homeless people will steal to survive. Treat people like animals and they will act that way.

Fortunetly, most people are able to see the world in it's reality and not the close minded black and white vista that you continually paint.

As to your support for criminals and your condemnation of law abiders:
:viol:

I have, with my Ex, offered a homeless person to come to our home for a shower and change of clothes, however, I'm not advocating individuals take in people from the street. A community can organize with a church to house people overnight in the winter and have a security guard on the premises.

A shower and a change of clothes!!

Why not a meal and a warm place to sleep?
Just lock up all your valuables.

And who's going to pay for the security guard and cover any liability for him?

I didn't force any tenant to move. I have to say I've never before encountered a person who can be so wrong about so many things.

The first place I purchased was owner-occupied so I moved into the apartment they vacated. Regarding the second place I purchased I had no reason to move into it so I didn't.

If you've never met a person who can be so wrong, about so many things; then you might want to get that cracked mirror of yours fixed and then spend a great deal of time looking into it.

You sold a property you owned and forced the occupants to move. You admitted to it and then tried to justiry it, by stating that you didn't sell it for as much as you could have.
I bet that really helped the family you made move.

Which you knew was going to happen, when you sold the property.
You admitted it.

Are you claiming Apple can read minds?

You must be...you claim he KNEW what was going to happen when he sold the property.

The truth is he had no idea what the new owner might do with the property...but when have little things like "facts" stopped you from making shit up in the past?

The TRUTH is, is that he talked about it and admitted that he knew the family was going to have to move.
Looks like he preferred profit over compassion.

Now go talk about something you have knowledge about.
OH-WAIT; you suffer from the same memory loss that Poet does.
I understand now, why all you do is bitch about what others post.

You're confusing both support and condemnation for what is merely an explanation and when it comes to helping people it is pretty much black and white.

We had young children so it wasn't advisable to have strangers stay over.

As for the security guard the city could assign a Police person.

I never forced anyone to move. What are you having difficulty understanding?

I had an idea the new owner wanted to move in but you have to realize we have rental laws here. The owner has to give the tenant a full 3 months notice plus if there's a vacant apartment the current tenent gets first choice. Also, there were plenty of vacancies in the neighborhood.

Let's get a few things straight. I was moving away so I wouldn't be able to look after the building properly and buildings with absentee landlords quickly devolve to everyones chagrin.

The second thing is while the new owner expressed interest about moving in there were three apartments he could choose from so I can't say I knew, with certainty, which apartment he would occupy. I assumed the ground floor but some owners prefer the top floor.

Nah; after you spouting the same stuff, year after year, it's obvious that you won't do what you desire of others.

You could have had the children sleep in the same room as yours, seeing as how you don't appear to trust the homeless, or you could have hired a security guard.

Now you want to remove people from their assigned patrols, to watch the homeless.
OH-WAIT; then that means you'll get to complain that the Police aren't doing what they were hired for.

Just works out as a win-win, for your whining.

Justify much?

By "absentee landlord", you really mean you didn't want to drive the 30 minute drive at least once a week.
The rest is just you justifying your greed of profit or human compassion.
