Walker to face recall

It's high labor costs in the US directly associated with unions- not private non union jobs. Manufacturing for instance were union employers before being decimated by high labor costs and either failing or fleeing- One of the only industries not impacted by union costs is retail. Though the attacks against entities like WalMart show that it's not for trying, by union organizers.

Barely more than one in TEN workers belongs to a union, but in ID's biased mind...it's still the fault of unions and not greedy corporate fatcats.

it is both. but of course you only want to blame corporations. it is a fact unions have driven up costs...and in some cases have been detriminal. to deny that is to deny reality.

Do your own Google searches. I will NEVER move one finger for a keystroke to prove anything to YOU-ever.

BOOOO HOOOO HOOOOO...Zappa isn't nice to me so I'm not going to answer his very reasonable questions...

As I thought...you've got NOTHING...just more whining...and now you've admitted it.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics announced last week that for the first time, the number of government employees in unions exceeded the number in the private sector, which fell to a new low of 7.2 percent, down from 7.6 percent in 2008. At the same time the number of government employees in unions rose from 36.8 percent to 37.4 percent.

But private sector union membership has been on a slow and steady decline for decades. While union leaders decry the numbers, saying that good union jobs are disappearing, the reality behind unions is much more complex. To an extent, they have become a victim of their own success.

The AFL-CIO, the largest union federation in the U.S., claims on its Web site that unions help “build stronger workplaces” and “give workers a voice on the job about safety, security, pay, benefits — and about the best ways to get the work done.” Further, it says, unions “represent working families before lawmakers, and make sure politicians never forget that working families voted them into office.”

All of that, it turns out, is somewhere between misleading and blatantly untrue.

“They artificially increase wages in unionized industries, limit employment opportunities, depress wages in nonunion jobs, lower rates of return on investment in unionized firms, and slow the growth of productivity,” writes James A. Dorn, professor of economics at Towson University and editor of the Cato Journal. “Unions politicize labor markets and have used the threat of violence to protect their wage premiums. In addition to using their monopoly power to secure higher than market wages, unions spend huge sums of money to maintain their power and limit competition.”

Well gee...if it's so easy to prove, how come when I asked ID for some proof to back her side of the argument, she stated she'd NEVER supply any proof to me.

Maybe you should take it up with her?

you're stereotyping all corporations and capitalists. not all corps are for excessive greed. your hatred of the corporate world is bizarre...

Corporations are soulless entities whose sole purpose is to generate profits yurt. Capitalism is not evil but is often practiced by evil people.
Greed is a mental illness and a mortal sin. The theft of wealth from the lower and middle classes of the past 3 decades but particularly this last one
is certainly a result of pathological greed. Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy are a prime example, and cause.

Myth: Unions bargain on behalf of their members to get employees the wages and benefits they deserve.

Fact: Unions “bargain” with the guns of government in hand, to get employees more wages and benefits than they deserve, with a little for themselves on the side. By crawling in bed with government to pass laws which benefited the unions at the expense of employers — and, in the long run, employees — union leaders have drained American businesses dry. The long, slow decline of private sector unions reflects the economic destruction they left in their wake as they searched for fresh blood to leech. And today they’ve found the biggest source yet, the government.

At the same time the number of government employees in unions rose from 36.8 percent to 37.4 percent.

Riiiiiiiight...no bullshit, biased nonsense could POSSIBLY come from a website called homelandstupidity.com

Could it?

Corporations are as profitable as ever- proving that unions have cut off their noses to spite their faces- they are not golden eggs, they are spoiled eggs. You want jobs at home then workers also need to check their greed. Is it not greedy to pay someone 45.00 an hr to do assembly line work? Or to get their pay without giving their labor? Greed is funny that way- going both ways I mean.

Yes, corporations have been profitable, but think how much more profitable they would have been if the last 5 years had been a healthy economy?

The golden goose is the consumer.

LOL- yes, if we had not had government creating bad policy for/with/against banks and lenders, we might have had a good economy- but I digress, corporations would have been sunk had they not diversified by seeking more affordable labor markets due to union greed. It's interesting that government now have their own sucking ticks (public unions) and what do they, unions do? Attempt to take over government, so that they can feed their own greed.

odd...i thought there were such entities called non-profit corporations. you see, your irrational hatred for corporations blinds you to the truth.

bush tax cuts were not just for the wealthy. please get your facts straight before answering....and btw...you forgot to mention obama continued those same taxes.

punctuation error was so easy you claimed....yet...you never supplied proof.

how is it you can't see what a whiny hypocrite you are?

Corporations are pieces of paper. Period. They are run and owned by individuals.

Capitalism is not evil but is often practiced by evil people.

There are bad people in the world. Some will take advantage of others. You can find them in corporations, government, unions, basically any group you wish to segment.

Greed is a mental illness and a mortal sin.

A mortal sin? LMAO....

The theft of wealth from the lower and middle classes of the past 3 decades but particularly this last one
is certainly a result of pathological greed. Bush's tax cuts for the wealthy are a prime example, and cause.

The majority of the Bush tax cuts went to the lower and middle classes. You are confused because the Dems have brainwashed you with all the per capita crap.

No, you don't see. I don't hate corporations, that is just your acusation. I disagreed with Obama extending the Bush cuts, though he was blackmailed into it. I didn't discuss non-profits, why are you being a twit again? What facts do you think I have wrong?

your posts indicate quite strongly you hate corporations. i haven't seen a single post from you that says anything good about corporations. they are all angry rants. apparently you think apprising you of the fact not all corporations are for profit makes me a twit...sorry facts bother you so much.

i clearly explained what facts you got wrong. funny how you accuse others of having reading issues....obama blackmailed....good lord.
