I'd just like to address something here that has cropped up in my dealings with both minorities and majorities in society today. I'll call it ethnic guilt, since I don't know what else to name it. There is a certain attitude of paying for sins of one's ethnicity, that white people should feel bad about african americans being enslaved, the death of native americans and the colonization of the new world. That Christians should feel bad about the pagans they converted by force. The arab americans should feel bad about terrorists in the middle east. The Slavs should feel bad about the soviet Union.


Now, this is horsesh*t. Hold somebody acountable for what they did, not what a bunch of people hundreds of years ago did who happened to look similar. Dont acuse present day Germans of killing jews, don't complain to the Italians about the atrocities of the Romans, don't hold the Turks responsible for the invasion of Europe. And let stuff GO.

You do know that there really are some present day Germans who killed Jews, right? I mean, there are people here alive from WWII, you have to assume that there are people there that are alive that fought in WWII...

Ironically enough most of the high up germans who were on the wrong side got killed either during the war or after, look up Nazi hunters sometime.

However, my point is that we're holding people who had nothing to do with bad events responsible for them, prime example of this being the native american's who tell you that "you stole the land from us" Interesting since neither of you were born when the land was theirs.

JPP love you guys, instead of addressing the whole, you go looking for the flaws within and attack them. Next time I'll attack word choice.
 
The Slavs were conquered by the Soviets, so I don't see why they (or I, being about half Czech and Slovenian) should feel guilty.

The Germans should just feel guilty, in general, for sucking as much as they do.
