It's a 1.4 liter engine Dune. And since GM has notoriously inefficient engines for their size, I'm doubting the torque claim. No it doesn't. It has a big electric drive motor with an abundance of tourque.

Wut you talkin 'bout Willis?

It is the same engine used in the Cruze & the Sonic.

The drive motor is electric. Electric motors have lots of torque.
The Volt electric drive motor has 150 HP and 273 foot-pounds of torque.
If you understand the difference between gas engines and electric motors, you realize that the Volt is a perfomance car.

Yeah, when I see that on a Dyno, I'll believe it. GM engines are notoriously inefficient.
And 150hp? Not performance.
The Volt is not a performance car. The Volt is a rolling joke, a $15,000 car with a $35,000 price tag. A wrong-wheel drive sedan with 150HP is not a performance car.
Thanks for your valuable imput. Not.
