At least christians have the belief that god wants them to spread the word of god, to justify their actions. Not sure where the atheists desire to convert the world originates from.

Don't ask me, I'm an apathist. I dont' care. I see both sets of superstitions as being equally pointless.

Generally from the belief that religion itself is harmful to people. They tend to cite religious wars and persecution alot.
