Yeah, this last exchange is where I part ways with PMP. Up until now, I would tend to favor his moderate positions, but if he believes that ordinary citizens who are willing to take lives are troubled, then he misses a huge point, which is that America was founded upon the concept of an armed citizenry, willing to kill for its freedom and survival.

so your real issue is you have no clue that tasers are defensive weapons and not pain compliance weapons. you could have simply said that and i'd have lowered my expectations of your intelligence.

He was being arrested for disorderly conduct; because he had supposedly been tearing down fliers, that had been posted, telling the protesters that they weren't going to be allowed to camp in the park, after an upcoming date.

I wonder why that part was excluded by those wanting to make it appear that the idiot had done nothing wrong. (rhetorical question) :palm:

Anybody who see's a 15 second video and immediately starts the "to arms brothers we must kill the hated symbols of authority and order" speach, is disturbed, and shouldn't worry about the state of other's testicles.

he was being surrounded by half a dozen police officers. going to the taser within 5 second is irrational, illogical, and denotes nothing more than the want to use an electro torture device.

There were 4 and it appears that you would rather them try to subdue him, using physical force; that way if he becomes injured, you can rant and rave about how they abused him.

Grow the fuck up and enter the real world that the majority of us inhabit.

15 seconds is enough time to kill someone for nothing more than disorderly conduct. If you approve of badge wearers being judge, jury, and executioner, maybe you should start advocating a judge dredd society.

I did a search on the subject and what I've stated fits right in with what occured and was being discussed, in regards to the title of this thread.

yeah, that 'real world' you inhabit where you support the use of lethal weapons to subdue someone who poses NO THREAT to the injury of your beloved law enforcement. If the police used the standard use of force continuum and it resulted in an injury to the arrestee, no, I would not rant and rave. despite your preconceived notion that I hate cops, I understand the difference between reasonable force and excessive force.

By your inclusion of a tazer as a "lethal weapon"; you've shown that you consider anything a Police Officer does, as lethal force.

But since they used a "lethal weapon"; can you explain why the dumbass is stil alive?
