Barack Hussein betrays Israel

Conservative

Repent, America!
Why would Obama's Defense Secretary Leon Panetta tell the uber left, anti-Israel NY Times that Israel is going to strike Iran in April, May or June -- before Iran enters a “zone of immunity” to commence building a nuclear bomb?

This is the act of a friend? An acquaintance? A neutral party? Or an enemy of freedom?

Why would anyone in his rational mind give a devout jihadist regime a heads up?

As the point of no return draws closer:

"Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Thursday that time was running out for action against the Iranian nuclear program before it became immune to physical attack, and that dealing with a nuclear Iran would be more difficult than stopping its drive to build an atomic bomb."

Why would the Obama administration betray our closest ally in The Middle East?

Once again, Obama sides with our mortal enemies, a cornerstone of his foreign policy

I wouldn't say that they were our closest ally. Although I understand your sentiment. They are a close ally. The closest I would reserve for Britain and Australia who are almost always there for us. Closest thing to family a nation could have.

I think it is unlikely that Leon Panetta is out saying anything that wasn't approved first by both interested parties (us and Israel) and they have a reason for saying this. While I can't ascertain what it is right now, I'm interested in what people think.

What do people here think about the Administration broadcasting an intent to attack, not from ourselves, but from a third party?

Fuck Israel.

Poet took my line, however, I will add that the intention of the statement likely is about turning up the temperature on the pot of frog water (Iran).

I think he would say that because it's an acurate guess, Israel is super agressive with the knowledge that no matter what they do the west will support them because of holocaust guilt.

Pancetta and the Obama administration are not going to put Israel in danger. It is probably an early warning to Iran that if they continue in their pursuit of nuclear weapons that they will be attacked by Israel. It is so putting the public on notice that this occur. It is all posturing. This is my opinion of the situation. I think it just another ploy to turn a certain portion of the US voting population against Obama.

What's to be embarressed about, we support Israel no matter what they do, and the reason is? because they're jewish.

Speak for yourself. I was bandmates with a Palestinian Christian (Catholic) , born in Kuwait, whose parents were made refugees by the institution of Israel. He explained to me, in no uncertain terms, exactly what the Israeli government did to his family and his fellow Palestinians. Needless to say, I am staunchly "pro-Palestinian", and anti-Zionist, anti-Israeli government, but not anti-Semitic. I don't hate the Jews. I hate what the Israeli Government is doing to the Palestinian people. I certainly don't support the Jewish lobby for Israel.
And I think we, as a government, should hold the Israelis accountable.

No, it's because Israel is a strategic location for launching an offensive measure in the region.....an attitude born of the old Cold War days that was started right after the end of WWII.

The real question is, will Americans be willing to start a DRAFT to cover the action should this whole nonsense start? Mind you, the powers that be can now paint everything as AL QAEDA or yell 9/11 and most of the populace would be lemming off the cliff.

I sincerely hope not.

I'm speaking of the US in general, I personally think Israeli situation is our fault(the west) and the fault of the Israelis and all the bloodshed in that area is on those two groups hands. Israel has decided that it can screw whoever it wants whenever it wants and nobody will do anything about it. Example, the bombing of a civilian scientist in Iran when they strapped a bomb to his car and blew him sky high. Muslims doing that is extremist and terrorist but when the Israelis do it its just politics. I'm tired of seeing them get a free pass on warmongering and war crimes just because of what Germany did 70 years ago.

What offensive measures do we need to launch? Need being the operative word, not "want" to launch, need. I say again, stop invading the middle east. It's not your sandbox.

What? We agree on something?
