Don't mess with the LAPD

Cops are the good guys... even though a very small percentage do wrong/are bad/are idiots. I am all for close and open scrutiny when force is used- but the mantra that cops can't be trusted is ridiculous.

code of silence? thin blue wall? brotherhood of the badge? none of that sound familiar to you?

104 Minnesota police officers in 18 agencies under investigation as ex-cop sues them for accessing her driver info just to look at her picture.

why is it a death sentence to point a gun at a cop, but cops are allowed to point guns at us? how is that sane?

How many people live after pointing a gun at a cop? How many people live after a cop points a gun at them. Courts are where you fight cops, not a gun battle on the street!

have you not paid attention to my police accountability posts? are you not aware that the courts have provided police with damn near absolute immunity?

try reading that site for a week, see if you change your mind.

And yet no counter site to how much more cops serve the public good, putting their lives on the line. Or how about reading a site for a week that lists all the violence perpetrated against cops? Every call every stop is an unknown potential danger. I am all for cleaning up corruption- but again, the percentages are weighted in favor of cops being good, not bad.

So, your idea, do away with police, go back to the 19th Century, Wild West, gun battles in the street? I need to do research before I answer you. I think your sites are slanted to your views.

ID, i've visited officer.com, policeone.com, among others. It's terrifyingly upsetting to watch these so called servants of the public rip in to and demean the average citizen whenever they even question the actions of a cop, for instance the recording of them IN PUBLIC. Most of them then talk about how they'd be happy to arrest them for disorderly conduct or failure to obey in order to hopefully cost them their jobs and money. It's absolutely sickening. you're just plain wrong about most of them being good. They all protect each other and keep their mouths shut, otherwise the leadership and union reps do all they can to drum them out.
