Texas Militia Member Wearing Body Armor Arrested After Standoff

then equal protection under the law is really just a myth, since police officers are better protected by virtue of crimes against them being punished more harshly. I would say that that is indeed making police officers better than us. why wouldn't you?

Not so, equal protection is not equal to the sentencing/penalty phase.

harsher punishment based on the victim has nothing to do with equal protection under the laws?

STY, the penalty phase of sentencing has everything to do with the victim and the attitude of the perpetrator- that is not unique to peace officers- though they do garner special considerations in many jurisdictions as does a pregnant woman; a child; etc.

can you point to any statute that specifies assault against a pregnant woman? I understand their are statutes for crimes against children, but i'm talking specifically adults.

from the article: "three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on a public servant. "

why is there a specific law for a public servant that provides them greater protections than the regular non public servant?

Who says that there is greater protection.
You being a criminal should know that you can also be charged with 3 counts of aggravated assault against a non-public servant.

Rave on, McDolt. :)

but three counts of aggravated assault on a non public servant is a class A misdemeanor, but against a peace officer it suddenly becomes a felony. how is that equal protection?

so you won't provide a rational answer, you'll just quip an idiotic reply.

There is no way to provide you with a rational answer when you make the following asinine comment

And then provide nothing to support your asininity.

You're just fishing for something to whine about and you made yourself look more stupid then usual.

wait, would you like me to post the actual Texas Penal code number and text? I can do that for you and probably should have knowing your biased hatred would never believe me.

Do you need the TX penal code number and text?

But then Texas needs to be protected from those stupid enough to form or join a militia, so it could just be backlash.

Rave on McDuff.

i get it, you're too stupid to bother yourself with the history of these laws, so you'll blindly accept the order from your masters because you suck the badge. good on ya mate.

You couldn't "get it", if it was on sale, came preassemble, and had free shipping.

There's no need to hide your love for Militia "members"; but then, what ever floats your boat.

Do you have your manifesto written yet?

Rave on McDolt.
