Espionage act... UNPRECEDENTED USE...

Of course you would think so. While you are not a total authoritarian like some on this site, you have tendencies...

I disagree.

Authoritarian? Give me a break. If he was blowing the whistle on something in particular that is one thing... (being military I have less of a leash for what they see and could release)... but he downloaded over 700,000 secret documents. That is dangerous. You HAVE to prosecute that.

Actually, maybe you are right about the Manning case.

I didn't know you were in the military. Huh. This explains a lot.

I'm am fairly confident that my link and the study results will hold up to scrutiny just a tinge better than whatever the hell you are basing your opinion on, my friend.

Then you won't have problem pointing us to HOW they made their calculations. If you are so confident in them, please do so.

I am basing my opinion on what OBAMA has done in office.

I hate the expression "chicago style politics" it's so stupid.

But I'd like to see you find a liberal who agrees with this. It's one of the many reasons that Obama is not a liberal, but rather a right of center politician. though everyone laughs when I say that, so...

???? Id say his use of the espionage act is far left. Like the Communist party silencing dissent. Nothing liberterian about the liberal left in the US. They are for big government and big government control.

So 'splain it to me, Lucy. I haven't the time or inclination to immerse myself in the methodology. Alls I know is that it is widely accepted by pretty much everyone but you, and that's good enough for me.

yes, it is a good read for CONGRESS. But for Presidents it is not. Because it can only use bills where the President has given a public yea/nea to the bill. So a President that doesn't like to commit is going to seem moderate given that the majority of the bills he/she comes out publicly in support of are going to be the more moderate (and thus more publicly favorable) bills.

OK. Well, give some examples of Obama not committing on particular bills that would have made him more left-wing that the analysis shows.

Chicago Style Politics is an accurate descriptive term meaning corrupt government in action. Much like "going postal" is a term describing workplace violence, mail carriers don't like the term but for a while it was very accurate and everybody knows what you mean when you say it.
