So your contention is that America can drill it's way to energy independence and lower fuel prices?
My contention is that America can, with a leader with vision, get off the foreign oil teat and have far more control over such things.

Of course we can drill out, thankfully Dummycrats woont allow it.

Tell me this. If every drilling application on the desk permits were approved how much oil would that add to domestic and total oil supplies and how much would that impact pricing by?Thanks again for the false shortage in America. Oil companies n me love oil over 100. Please promise not to increase drilling until 200.

I doubt anyone does as I think the answer is fairly obvious. Even domestic produces will export to other countries is they can make higher profits. You think oil companies care about this country? That's not their job. Their job is to make profits. For drilling alone to be the answer it would take more oil then would be required to meet domestic demand. Does anyone think that could happen?Good luck. I've asked him to supply those facts several times. All I got was insults and unsupported generalizations.

You question shows what a fucking clueless moron you are! Did you go to a junior college who accepts Ohio state rejects?Tell me this. So who is this leader with vision?
Name him/her.
How can a nation dependent on foreign oil for a great proportion of it's energy needs accomplish energy independence?
"Green" technology is nearly universally derided by conservatives.
So what's your solution? Got any?
Or is it just easier to whine about the occupants of the White House and play the blame game?
I've actually spoken clearly on this topic for quite some time. There is no reason not to use the NG resources we have that can easily run our cars with a rather cheap retrofit. Change our electricity to nuclear (like France) so that we stop using the NG for electricity. Our oil needs can, over time, be limited to plastics, etc. and sales overseas to less advanced nations like China. All the while we can work on Green Energy that doesn't suck and will actually have a return on investment.
Throw "everything" at the problem and the US can do it.
As for which leader? Almost any leader can be driven to make good choices, unless they are a converted ideologue. The past two were that, let's take one on that isn't such an ideologue and drive them to make decisions that can benefit all of us rather than a few of their friends whether they be Solyndra execs or oil execs. Brazil was smart enough to understand that completely self-provided fuel would benefit their nation, it provided jobs (we need a few) to create the infrastructure to create it just as it would here. With enough of a drive we could be very close to off, if not already off that foreign energy addiction, had we begun at several points in the past, the largest recently being 9/11...The first step is to reject the ideologues.
Do you believe Michelle Bachmann and Newt Gingrich, who promise lower gas prices if elected?
I believe that their policy will be more conducive to lower gas prices. BTW - Bachmann isn't in the running any longer, just a news flash there for you.
While I don't believe that they go far enough towards working towards independence, they would certainly be better than the current ideologue in that regard. I also believe that they would be far more tractable to a movement among the population towards true energy independence than any ideologue whether it be Bush or Obama.
Safe talk now that she is gone.
I have to say, nevermind the angry badger (talk about idealogue lol) but to suggest that Bachmann would do a better job is so laughable as to cause two demerits to your permanent credibility score. You have got to be kidding. This is the hackedest you have ever been.
On a side note, my 18 year old proudly marched in and voted for Paul this morning.
So what's to keep them from selling it here instead of China or India where prices are higher?retard legion and legionaires, we haven't tried drilling. Technology changes morons, we are finding billions of barrels where 10 years ago we thought none existed.
idiots
Do you realize that, first, there was more than one person I was speaking of there, and that, secondly, it was specifically in regard to this particular policy or are you carefully constructing a straw man and ad hom based on what you want to believe about me?
And good for your 18 year old... Good choice.
are you grind or Mott, just askingSo what's to keep them from selling it here instead of China or India where prices are higher?
You guys keep avoiding my question. How much oil would need to go out on the market now to impact domestic pricing? It would have to be enough to drop the international commodity pricing of oil or American producers would just simply ship what they produce over seas for higher profits.
Sorry, thought you would catch that...someone called Newt the "angry badger" a moniker I found so fitting that I will never again refer to him in any other manner.
As to your usual conservative deflections, yes I realise what you mean and mean what I said.
EVEN IN THE ONE AREA OF GAS PRICES ALONE SHE WOULD FAIL, BECAUSE SHE SUCKS THAT MUCH.
