It's weird how it's mostly white males who cry about state's rights, and who also tend to join the Libertarian party, the party that loves sausage - but not browned. Why they can't attract women is no mystery - cause hey, bitches be crazy! But their inability to attract black men has long been the rubik's cube of politics. No one can figure it out!

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that in the year 2012, a black male can still be lynched in this country and not face state murder charges.

Hispanic kids shoot blacks kids all the time in Los Angeles. Is that why women aren't Libertarians and blacks and hispanics are Democrats?

I think you better read up on this case. Because I am sure you are not dismissing it with what you just said here. This stalking and murder of a 17 yo kid for being black.

Nearly half a million people have signed a petition that Zimmerman be arrested. If the State of Florida doesn't do it then the Feds will for violating Trayvon Martin's civil rights.

I've read and heard the news reports and from what I've seen I have no idea how this Zimmerman guy is claiming self-defense. I haven't seen anything released that shows this Martin kid doing anything threatening. From the info that has been released so far it looks like murder to me.

Hispanic kids unfortunately shoot black kids all the time. Mostly though they are deemed gang related and don't get national attention like this. So I don't understand your rant about how women aren't Libertarians (and people on this board aren't Libertarians).

Zimmerman is a 28 year old full grown man. Please stop referring to this lynching as "hispanic kids kill blacks all the time" and please do not even mention gangs, since this has nothing to do with gangs, and bringing up gangs is IMO, racist.

He stalked and lynched a black youth and the state did not arrest him. You must be laboring under the mistaken assumption that just because he's "Hispanic" he's not racist.

What this has to do with Libertarians and State's rights, I thought I made clear: they keep yapping their gums about state's rights and limited FEDERAL government and appear to find it a big mystery why blacks and women would kindly like them to shove it.
 
Why would the police in Florida consider this self-defense? It can't be racism cause uh, um...he's Hispanic!


"In the final moments of his life, Trayvon Martin was being hounded by a strange man on a cellphone who ran after him, cornered him and confronted him, according to the teenage girl whose call logs show she was on the phone with the 17-year-old boy in the moments before neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman shot him dead.

Martin's death Feb. 26 has stirred national outrage and protests, partly prompting the U.S. Justice Department's Civil Rights Division and the FBI to open an investigation into the case.

ABC News was there exclusively as the 16-year-old girl told Martin family attorney Benjamin Crump about the last moments of the teenager's life.

"He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man," Martin's friend said. "I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run but he said he was not going to run."

Eventually he would run, said the girl, thinking that he'd managed to escape. But suddenly the strange man was back, cornering Martin.

"Trayvon said, 'What, are you following me for,' and the man said, 'What are you doing here.' Next thing I hear is somebody pushing, and somebody pushed Trayvon because the head set just fell. I called him again and he didn't answer the phone."

The line went dead. Besides screams heard on 911 calls that night as Martin and Zimmerman scuffled, those were the last words he said.

Martin's father, Tracey Martin, and mother, Sybrina Fulton, listened to the call along with ABC News, ashen-faced.

"He knew he was being followed and tried to get away from the guy, and the guy still caught up with him," Tracey Martin said. "And that's the most disturbing part. He thought he had got away from the guy and the guy back-tracked for him."

Hey, Darla: 19th Century white slave owners were total asshole racists and if any were to miraculously survive to this day, you could lynch 'em all for their hideous crimes.... I get it.

I think it's safe to say that racism is found on all sides of the political spectrum, don't you?
 
The gated community this occurred in, Retreat at Twin Lakes, is predominantly white. The police did not prosecute this murder. The feds have to step in. The victim is a young black male. I understand that some righties just have very simplistic thought processes, I'm sorry, all righties, and they actually believe that since a Hispanic shot a black guy this must be gang related and anyway, what's the big to-do? But that is not what happened.

This was a lynching, and the only way the black victim will get justice is because of the federal government. If you don't get what that has to do with a strong federal government vs state's rights, I don't think I can help.

No, I didn't state it was gang related. I said that unfortunately hispanics shoot blacks all the time. Most just happen to be gang related which is why they don't make national news like this. Zimmerman needs to be charged and the local police in Florida need to step up and do the right thing here.

Florida has a "Stand your ground" law in which a person who believes they are threatened is not required to retreat as they are in most States. However, it's pretty apparent that Zimmerman provoked this confrontation so the "Stand your ground" law should not apply. Anyways, that is the law the police have cited for not arresting Zimmerman.

Yes, and when that was first signed into law, I believe by Jeb Bush? it was called the "shoot first ask questions later law", and I think it is very important to review that law. You know, a lot of black people feel it should be called the "shoot a n*gger and walk" law. And they were saying that long before this case. So it's interesting that it appears they turned out to be right.

But the law can't be racist, cause...cause white gun nuts say so.
