Zimmerman was on the ground being punched when he shot Trayvon Martin

Seems weird to me that a 140 lb. kid could kick the shit out of a stalker who weighs 250 to the point where the stalker has to kill him.

Just sayin.

So you want to protect society, from someone who hasn't been convicted (let alone charged) with anything.
He's Mexican
He shot a black kid
He was armed
He shot a black kid
He's made previous reports abouit suspicious blacks
He shot a black kid
He got out of his car
He shot a black kid
He was reportedly being attacked
He shot a black kid
He as older
He shot a black kid
He was bigger
He shot a black kid
We don't have all the evidence
He shot a black kid
He hasn't been charged
He shot a black kid
He wasn't arrested
He shot a black kid

Apperently the only thing that matters, is that he shot a black kid.

Nope, the important thing is justice.

I haven't heard it mentioned.....did Zimmerman have any bruises.....cuts.....scrapes......dents in his head from a can of iced tea?.........

When I first heard that tape, I couldn't believe it.

You're not allowed to stalk someone to the point where they feel cornered, and then use deadly force for whatever happens next.

you're not allowed to wail on someone for asking you what's going on and why you are out here. This entire case comes down to who initiated first contact.

Navy SEALs also have fire support and guns. And are pussies.

They are also skilled in hand to hand combat. The point is that they are not big guys typically, yet would have no problem taking out a guy Zimmermans size. Their size is not indicative of ability. So this constant focus on the weight differential by liberals is absurd... as is the focus on height by some in the media on the right.

ive recently learned that I hold no positions on anything. I am completely a contrarian.

when this story first broke I thought of the guy as a paranoid cracker and said he should probably get manslaughter+.

now after all the protesting and people jumping to conclusions, and inferring their own facts without evidence, I want zimmermen to go free. Maybe we can get some florida riots out of this whole ordeal.

One thing is fairly clear that the police told Zimmerman not to confront him but he did anyway, I think?

they said I think "we dont need you to do that" which is more ambiguous and vauge rather than specifically saying "dont go up to him"

Besides, it's not illegal to approach somebody, and ask them what they are doing in the area.

You could, had he not actually been in a physical confrontation with the victim. He hadn't even pulled a gun by that point by all accounts that I've read.

A "judge, jury, & executioner" wouldn't have been in a physical confrontation, he would have shot him without trying to ask what the heck was going on.

And there may even be circumstances that may end up with a jury bringing a "not guilty" verdict. We just don't know, we have a very small part of the story, and almost all of it from one side.

The public reacts, but IMHO people who spend more time paying attention to this stuff (like on this board) shouldn't be so quick to immediately convict based on initial reports, before investigation is concluded, and without a trial. Is it because he is brown that people are so quick to convict? Both sides have had people ready to throw away the key to a jail cell, and he hasn't been before a judge yet.

I've seen this before here in Houston...look up a story about Joe Horn here in Houston.

He saw two men breaking into his neighbor's home, grabbed his shotgun and called 911, who told him to let the officers en route handle the men. He told the 911 dispatcher he wasn't going to let them get away. They told him to stay in his house and NOT go after the men, but he did anyway. He confronted the two men from his front yard, who turned to run AWAY from Mr Horn. He shot them both, claiming SELF DEFENSE even though evidence showed one man shot in the back and the other shot in the side as he turned to run.

Horn was never arrested and was never charged with a crime...he walked.

So you're saying that it's not only impossible; but not even plausible.

Of course that's not what he said...in fact what he DID say is right there in the "quote" box...why is it, even with Crash's comments right there above yours, you STILL can't be honest about what others say?
