unlike zappa, who should leave the state if he doesn't care for the general attitude of Texans, and Rune, who continues to dwell on the race as if that plays some major portion of the Horn case, it came down to public support for Horn. There was no way in hell that prosecutors were going to find 12 people on a jury STUPID enough to convict him. why bother going through the expense of charging and trying him, just to have a jury say 'fuck you'?

Again, the weight differential is what liberals focus on... the height differential (which also means reach) doesn't matter. Vice versa for some on the right. Neither dictate the outcome.

Side note crash... by the accounts that have been released, Martin was able to knock Zimmerman around. Again, this does not justify the excessive force Zimmerman used in response, but it is merely stated because the 'well he was 100 pounds lighter' being used as an argument is getting old.

So to recap...

Joe Horn saw two men on HIS NEIGHBOR'S property...NOT his own.

He retrieved his shotgun, and despite warnings from the 911 operator, stepped outside his home to confront the two men on HIS NEIGHBOR'S property...NOT his own property.

He then shot each man IN THE BACK as they turned to flee, forensic evidence supports this.

He was NEVER charged.

As an aside, I'd say claiming that prosecutors wouldn't be able to find 12 men/women to follow the rule of law instead of their own personal feelings is pretty damning testimony as to the stupidity of EVERYONE BORN in Texas.

firstly, the 'rule of law' was already being broken by two idiots stealing stuff that wasn't theirs. Secondly, it is completely lawful to use force to stop a felony crime in progress, which apparently was also what the two 'victims' were committing when shot. So technically, no law was being broken. Thirdly, the 'rule of law' is subject to interpretation and a majority of texans felt that 'the rule of law' includes lethal force against fleeing felons.

Forget poet, what this board is missing is blackascoal. Oh when I think how he would have slaughtered these guys on this. This board has no black voice and it leaves a big hole. Actually even Tiana would make mincemeat out of them, and I should not forget her. She did many a time.

Tiana is too busy at work to post, and blackascoal was hounded off by racists. Until he decided that in the year 2012 he didn't need to be called a n*gger over and over by some white coward who would avert their eyes if they ever met him face to face, no less call him that name.

No. I know you really don't get this but you write from the perspective of a white male. You just do. Just as I write from the perspective of a white woman. I think that it's important to expose ourselves to all voices. I loved blackascoal because I learned a great deal from him. And he and I had plenty of big fights, believe me. But he was always, always, illuminating and he always made you think.
