I can only imagine the comments if the armed, self-designated "neighborhood watch" guy had been a Black Panther security patroller who shot and killed a white kid.

because the prosecutor decided that there wasn't enough evidence to convict. This has been stated numerous times.

you'd see the same non responsiveness from the nation just like it was over the 'dead or alive' posters for zimmerman as well as the black panthers at polling places in pennsylvania carrying clubs. practically nothing.

Well to state the obvious, apparently a lot of people don't agree with that Prosecutor. We'll know more as the investigation provides more information. If the prosecuter made his decison based on or in part on the "Stand Your Ground" law, then that law has some serious problems that will need to be addressed.

I seem to remember a lot of ink given to the Panthers, not to mention the treads on this forum. And a lawsuit. Righties were incensed that the lawsuit was dropped but if the same thing should happen with Zimmerman (lawsuit that ends up in his favor), righties will be crowing that justice was done.

Thats all true....no doubt.......

The panthers WERE guilty of intemidating voters at the polling places according to the testimony of the actual voters there, and the undeniable video of their presence and carrying weapons (billy clubs/night sticks)......

And Zimmerman was acting in self defense, his story verified to a degree by an eyewitness and justice will have prevailed if he is released.
But with the PC pinheads in control and whites scared shitless by the mob violence the blacks have shown in the past, he just might have to be sacrificed to appease them.....

Who died and left Zimmerman in charge of the neighborhood? Who gave him the right to confront a pedestrian, based on no evidence of suspicious behaviour except walking while black?

Zimmerman acting in self-defense, please. Kind of blows the argument that carrying a gun will protect you, huh! He outweighed an unarmed teenager by 100 lbs. but was afraid for his safety, I suppose that's the defense you're putting out. FYI, that's no defense.

if he was neighborhood watch captain, then they obviously have a neighborhood watch group. If they have a group, they obviously voted him as captain.

[Martin]drew the attention of Zimmerman, who was patrolling the neighborhood in a sport-utility vehicle and called 911 to report "a real suspicious guy."
"This guy looks like he's up to no good or he's on drugs or something," Zimmerman told the dispatcher. "It's raining, and he's just walking around looking about."

You cannot be serious. Insulting, but not serious.

Since when does one person have the right to stop another citizen in the street for no reason? And Zimmerman did not have a reason, because Martin walking in the rain and looking around ("It's raining, and he's just walking around looking about.") doesn't constitute suspicious behaviour.

From the transcript:

"Now he's coming towards me. He's got his hand in his waistband. And he's a black male...Something's wrong with him. Yup, he's coming to check me out. He's got something in his hands. I don't know what his deal is...These assholes, they always get away."

After discussing his location with the dispatcher, Zimmerman exclaimed, "Shit, he's running," and the following sounds suggest he left his vehicle to run after Martin.

"Are you following him?" the dispatcher asked. Zimmerman replied: "Yep."

"Okay, we don't need you to do that," the dispatcher warned.

Martin started to run and Zimmerman got out of the SUV to chase him. Why?

"Several minutes later, according to other callers to 911 in the neighborhood, Zimmerman and Martin got into a wrestling match on the ground."

It seem to me that Zimmerman went on the attack and Martin stood his ground. But we'll never know because Martin isn't here to tell his side of the story.

Irony of ironies, that you of all people are taking Zimmerman's side on this. You talk all the time about questioning authority. Yet Zimmerman was not an authority figure who Martin was compelled to obey, so what gives? Were you just looking for an opportunity to say I write stupid posts?
 
who says you can't stop people on the street? do you need that outlined in the constitution? it is not against the law to stop anyone in the street. whether they stop or not, will decide the outcome.

stop being dumb and talking about rights....further...if this was a gated community, i believe the land is all private, thus your rights argument doesn't make any sense.

cite where anyone says martin started to run and zimmerman chased him. according to him, he was getting back in his vehicle when the altercation occurred. i'm tired of all you libs acting as if the facts are all conclusive. they are not.
