Castro Lover

I can tell you've never been to Miami! There are no greater wild eyed fanatics in this nation then the right to return Cuban nationalist in Miami. If your ever down there don't even bring the subject up!

Shit man, the US Embargo of Cuba would have ended 20 years ago except for them.

And should have...IMO.

If some or many of these people of Cuban descent in Miami had either family members or friends suffer under the hand of Castro I'm not sure how that makes them ideological wild-eye fanatics to not like or despise the man.
Go to Miami and bring the subject up. You'l find out real quick what she means. I spent several months working in Miami a few years back. That was one subject you never, ever bring up if you have any brains.

To me, they are absolutely analogous to the settlers, period. It's crazy town.

Well I sure as hell wouldn't start a discussion with them saying I liked Castro.

Yeah make sure you tip toe around them. Don't dare say anything that would indicate you disagree with them.

Not because they're wild eyed fanatics or anything. just because in America it's best not to disagree with anyone.

I never said there was. IMO, public officials advocating for his firing, is a huge overreaction meant to pander to wild-eyed fanatics, and that's what those guys are. That I absolutely stand by. Broad brush? Maybe to people who don't remember their behavior during the Gonzalez affair. I can't stand those people.
Hey no body's perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Miami with the local Cubano's. The food was great, the people hospitable and the women......oh my lord the women are soooo beautiful....just stay away from anything to do with Castro and the right of return.

Darla are you a fan or supporter of Castro's or do you just not like that the older Cubans who came to Miami vote Republican? (Someone told me the younger Cubans in Miami aren't as ideological i.e. vote Republican as the older Cubans but I have no idea if that is true or not)

Not to mention that Castro and his cold blooded murdering dog Che are the moral equivalent to Jeffrey Dahmer. He is the manager and hence the face of the baseball team. His is the face the fans see interviewed daily. The team is trying to sell a product. A product that is being sold to a population that is largely of anti-castro Cuban descent.

Perhaps if Jeffrey Dahmer had raised his country to one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean, with world class healthcare and education, in the face of intense aggression from a country a hundred times more powerful.

What kind of response do you think I would get if I walked up to a group of feminists and started talking about the evils of abortion and how Rick Santorum is what American really needs? Would they be real happy and nice with me?

It is. It's an ugly city too but it's also so dynamic. It's the cross roads of the Carribean and Latin America and North America. I wouldn't want to live in Miami but I love visiting there.

http://keitholbermann.mlblogs.com/2...uillen-is-not-protected-by-the-1st-amendment/

KO wrote a column about this! Very interesting, perhaps some sports fans were upset about this and claiming that his first amendment rights were violated? It seems as if KO thought he had to set that straight. Of course, it is possible that no one ever made that claim but some woman said something and KO, being a man, just jumped to that conclusion, kind of like what happened here. However, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I disagree with his points about how the poor Miami Cubans are just shell shocked and we all have to baby them cause they can't handle any disagreement with their views. However, other than that, I think he wrote a good piece with some important points.

I love KO, and I k now you guys do too, so I took this opportunity to introduce him into the conversation. I actually have a feeling that if I met him I wouldn't want to have sex with him at all, this is a true platonic love I speak of.

Yes everyone on the island is really smart, really healthy and really poor.

Me too, I have been there twice, and I have a very good friend who goes there several times a year. I will probably go back again since we always have a great time.

I can tell you that the ones I know would take it as an opportunity, and would certainly not attempt to have you fired. That's what we're talking about - attempts to have him fired. I didn't say they should jump for joy over his comments. Let's not get off track while we pull strawman after strawman out of our butts okay?

It shouldn't be surprising that politicians are acting like politicians and I get that there are plenty of anti-Castro folks in Miami that are fanatical and I don't like them either, but many have good reason for it. I also don't think that only the crazies can be upset by Guillen's comments and think the Marlins pretty much had to suspend him.

That is probably the case, but it would be a shame if they fired him over it.

LOL Not unless you feel suicidal! LOL You should go there Wacko. Find a local to tour you around. Give an honest attempt to learn the culture and try to speak barbaric Spanish. You'll find that the local Cubano's are extremely hard working and enterprenuerial and that's to be respected. You'll also find that the lovely Latina's down there have a thing for blue eyed gringos who show them some respect. Miami has the highest concentration of drop dead beautiful woman of any city I've ever been too. That includes New York, Tokyo, Manila, Chicago and Patterson, New Jersey.

Yes, they would cause they would know that you're just a freak looking to be tied up and abused.
