The heritage of the south is hatred. If you ask me if I'm proud of the actions of my ancestors, I'll react the same as a German would if you asked him if he's proud of the Nazi's, I'll punch you in your fucking face. It's offensive to accuse any southerner of being proud of their heritage, simply disgusting.

This is the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. It was not the flag of the Confederate States of America. It was intended to identify the Army in battle. The fact that it was chosen by a bunch of mouth breathing, knuckle dragging Kluckers as a symbol of their group dedicated to hatred no more makes the flag a symbol of hate than does the fact that they burn crosses at their rallies and on peoples lawns, make the cross a symbol of hate.

The burning cross is a symbol of hate.

Very good, but that does not make the cross a symbol of hate anymore than during a cross burning many members of that organization carry that flag.

Perhaps it's time to rethink the "cross" reference.

Just saying. :)

Doublespeak bullshit. That flag is a symbol of hate by any description and is fit only in a museum and as an historic artifact. Those that openly fly it now are also openly hostile to the great American way and all Americans that have fought and died to defend their rights to fly that piece of shit.

you know what cracks me up about threads like these:

the liberals that post and make the thread don't even realize that liberals support and supported the same flag.

head in sand will always get you a mouth full of sand

carry on

I've never known a liberal that supported anything to do with that rotten piece of shit flag other than it's historical aspects. Just what kind of "liberal" are you speaking of, yuck?

the swastika was originally a symbol of light which is why the nazis adopted it

symbols evolve and sometimes move from good to evil through their usage

while most of the confederates fought honorably, the cause that they fought for (slavery and states rights) was less than honorable

the south's heritage from the civil was was sorrow and destruction

please cite your proof or is this opinion

It amazes me that people will try to claim that the battle flag of a pack of traitors fighting for the "right" to keep other Americans enslaved is "heritage".
