"Republican War on Women"

When Hilary Rosen went after Ann Romney last night she also said that it is the Republicans who are accusing people of using a War on Women.

"Well, first, can we just get rid of this word war on women. The Obama campaign does not use it. President Obama does not use it. This is something that the Republicans are accusing people of using, but they're actually the one spreading it."

I kept thinking I know I've heard that term used multiple times on this board and I didn't think coming from anyone on the right. I looked and I did see Mott started a thread entitled GOP War on Women but then found troll boy Ken started one and then the real troll/Gatorman started like three threads with that title. Nonetheless I don't think Rosen would rate last night as her favorite interview experience.

I am not sure who first coined the phrase, but I know feminists use it a lot and have been for a while. This was a stupid thing for Rosen to say but you have to remember she's a democratic consultant. You see how Obama has run from that phrase, and indeed it was only very recently he even said anything that even alluded to what has been going on. Feminists are to establishment democrats what Birthers are to many establishment republicans. Even though feminists advocate for the radical idea that women are human beings, and Birthers are, you know, nuts, the establishment democrats look at us as if we were the equivelant.

In other words, Rosen is full of shit. Just another paid mouthpiece. It's liberals not democrats who have been using that phrase, IMO correctly...not republicans. To my knowledge anyway. And I am a person who has definitely used it here.

Hilary Rosen spoke correctly as do MY wife and MY daughter and MY granddaughter as they are all feminists to some degree and they all understand the propensities of the GOP to overstep their boundaries when restricting the freedoms of almost everybody on issues they (the GOP) doesn't understand.

I like your sig line, Darla. It is appropriate.

You lie, wacky. You got them 3 threads? Link us up. I started 1 (one) thread and it was more of a joke about caterpillars than anything else. Come on, dumbo. Link us up or admit you're every bit the pitiful liar you appear to be.

Okay, I reread her statement after reading your post. So you believe she meant it as, let's get rid of, as in, end, the war on women? And that she did not mean let's stop using the phrase? It can be read that way now that you said that, and if that's how she meant it, I retract what I said.

No, I don't think she meant that at all but whatever works for exposing the cruelties in about anything the GOP has offered up on women's issues works for me.

Saying the Obama campaign doesn't use it is completely fabricated bullshit.

Obama is running from the issue of Rosen, and Darla told you it was a stupid thing for her to say.....

So you, along with all the women in your family are......are.....are.....well, figure it out for yourself.......

Less than 24 hours later, Rosen responds by issuing the following statement:

"I apologize to Ann Romney and anyone else who was offended. Let's declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance."

Even Rosen tells you its a phone war....like 'imaginary'....

and I like your little phrase under "Gaterman".......describes Democrats views on voting pretty much on the money....

What she said was that the phrase was only used by republicans. But it's utter nonsense. As nonsensical as a President who suddenly doesn't know somebody who has visited the WH 35 times in the past 3 months.

It is my understanding that the teachings teach that men and women are not equal.

Its laughable how the pinheads will deny and turn a blind eye to the obvious and undeniable....:palm:

the teachings teach ???? Do you mean the Bible or something?

You're gonna have to clarity for those of us that speak English.

She didn't say "only." She said that Republicans are the ones spreading it and Mitt Romney and Reince Prebius have been doing that over the past few days, arguing both that there is no War on Women and the Obama is the one waging a War on Women.

Personally, I'm glad to see the substantive response with policy details from the Republican camp to the War on Women charge. It's quite something.

You have hormones, it isn't just a "womanly" thing, but I know you being a mysogynist, you believe it is a big insult to have them!
