Lib General calls for peace in War on Women!

I am saying just because they stay at home does not mean the child will receive the attention, your girlfriend says she can tell which patents give their children attention and which don't, that is the key, the time spent on the child, not the staying home aspect. And I corrected my statement, but the discussion was stay at home mom's. it doesn't make a difference which parent stays at home, the difference is the quality of time, not quantity.

Yes, some people are just bad parents. No doubt about it. And that sucks. But on the whole the more time a parent is able to spend with their child at that young age the better.

I say it depends on the situation at the home. I lived down the street from a stay at home parent who locked their children out of the house all day, even during subzero temperatures, I allowed the children in to my home so they didn't freeze and spoke to the other partent about this behavior and informed them I would call child protective services if it happened again. The couple divorced shortly afterwards.

Those stay at home welfare moms can be like that!

Yes, in a perfect world, it would be ideal for both parents to stay at home, and spend time with the child. In a perfect world, it would be wonderful for both parents to be loving and nurturing, but alas, there is no perfect world, so some children do better in daycare than they would staying at home with a negligent parent.

That's the thing, Obama and the Lib Army had the women's vote wrapped up, until bonehead Rosen made her comments. Now all this platitude shit you're spewing means absolutely nothing. Stay at home moms were offended, and they responded swiftly, prompting all kinds of apologies, explanations, and distancing by Team Obama from the comments. If it wasn't that big of a deal, there wouldn't have been this reaction.

That's awesome. The idea that anyone other than hardcore political junkies that already know who they are going to vote for have paid any attention whatsoever to this media-created fauxtrage is laughable.

The right doesn't have to combat anything, they didn't start the War on Women, that was instigated by Liberals. Now that the war has turned on Liberals, they want no part of it (any surprise there?) Rosen's own words: "Let's declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance." So you should take her advice, gayturdman, and shut the fuck up! The war is over, peace has been declared!

OK. Peace has been declared. Now let's get to the policy details. What've you got?

Well, then Republicans need to quit taking away our rights.

Well, they have the new "Obama not voluntarily paying more in taxes" thing.

That could have legs.

Again, if no one was paying attention, and it didn't matter, there would never have been the stampede to do damage control! There were at least a half dozen sycophants, from pundits all the way to the white house press secretary, who tried to distance Rosen from the administration, condemn what she said, and un-fuck the mess she made. Make no mistake, this was a major league blunder, and they know it!

As for issues, now that peace has been declared and people like Rana are going to shut the fuck up, we'll get down to business. Let us tie up some lose ends, have our convention, and nominate our guy, then we'll take on the issues one by one. And it's going to be so refreshing to do that without the distraction of the Liberals phony War on Women.

OK. Good luck with that.

I doubt it will have the effect the Republicans hope for, the GOP policies are far more harmful than the words of a Democractic strategist, especially with the response from the President and Mrs. Obama beinga stay at home mom, presently.

The toothpaste is out of the tube, democrats feel that stay at home moms don't work, Rosen's words exactly. Now the Dems are trying to walk that back, and it's like someone using the "N" word and then trying to claim they didn't really mean it to be offensive. The more you try to defend what was said, the worse you look. This is why you are now trying to pretend that it didn't really matter, it was no big deal, no one was paying attention..... but the damage control squad sure as hell swung into action mighty swiftly.

Well, I guess we will see who is correct, but this woman doesn't make any laws, and we have seen how Republican backed laws are having an affect on women and their rights.

No, we've seen liberals make the claim that Republican backed laws are having an effect on women and their rights, there is no evidence that claim is true. I suppose that's why even Rosen admits it was a phony war. It also doesn't matter that Rosen makes no laws, neither does Rush Limbaugh or Mrs. Romney.

My sister in law, a former hardcore Republican stay at home mom, says that she knew exactly what Hilary Rosen meant when she said what she said. She says the primary war on stay at home moms is coming from those that want to police every vagina and uterus, those that would concentrate on the legislation to police such while ignoring the jobs legislation so promised, those that would dis-respect women with such fervor that they can't even admit that it is their own legislation and hateful and spiteful attitudes towards women in general whether they be in the voting booth, the workplace or in the bed and those that mock the issues women are most attuned to. See post # 4 in this thread. It is so true.

Onceler, my gf is a Director of a pre-school in Marin County (the county just north of SF, on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge for those who may be unfamiliar). It is $15k/yr to go there (the gf says other private pre-schools in the area cost $30k). She said/believes exactly what you do. She says there are lots of kids at her school whose parents both work full time (not cheap to live in Marin County, drive one or two nice cars and pay $15k for you kid to go pre-school) so these 2, 3 and 4 year olds often spend 40 hours a week at school. The gf says she can tell the difference in kids who don't get as much attention at home vs. those who do and she agrees with you completely.

There will always be individual exceptions but overall I think it is MUCH better for the kid if it had one parent staying home with it while growing up or at least while very young(can be the man or the woman doesn't matter).

Not all have a choice on whether to stay at home full-time or not, with that said, I agree with your gf. In grades k-4 it's easy to spot the kids that were in full-time daycare.

There are reasons that most parents with sufficient income, i.e., education, choose to have one parent at home even if the primary nurturer keeps working part-time or full-time at home. Many mothers and some fathers choose to free-lance, set up a home-based business, or work when the other parent is home or the child is in preschool.

In the advent of the computer age many jobs are 100% home based. I won't be around to see it but there should be a similar discussion 25 years from now on this topic. I bet it will look entirely different.

BTW, turn your hearing aids up, annie. Your groaning is getting to be obnoxious. I thought you knew, honey child.

I think you are lying. Unless your sis-in-law suffered some kind of head trauma, she didn't switch from "hardcore republican" to flaming radical liberal, and by the rhetoric you just spewed, that's what it sounds like you are trying to claim. Furthermore, you fuckwits need to be challenged on this shit every time it comes out of your shit-spewing mouths, WHAT VAGINA/UTERUS LEGISLATION ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? What you want to portray as "uterus policing" is conservatives objecting to taxpayer dollars going to fund abortion and birth control. Let's cut the crap and be honest about that.

Now, back to the subject of the thread. If MOST American women felt the way you just articulated, then Ms. Rosen's comments would have been no big thing, and fifty-gazillion pinhead liberal sycophants wouldn't have broken their necks trying to tamp this down. The fact that this was such a blunder that a liberal general would actually plead for an end to the phony war (her words), is a testament to just how damaging it was. MILLIONS of stay at home moms were offended by the revelation that liberal democrats don't believe they work. Unfortunately, spewing rhetoric doesn't 'fix' that problem.

I never said she was a "flaming radical liberal", dicklicker. She just is no longer so sold on any fucked up repuke women haters. I will make no attempt to explain recent legislation proposed and passed by the idiots that severely restricts the rights of women and their vaginas and uterus's. After all, it's jerks like the repukes that passed it that need the worst to understand it. If they deny or just don't want to know that's a big bully for them, isn't it?

The rest of your post is equally as silly as thus far.

You are such an idiot that this is all the response your post is worth. Keep lying to yourself, because NO ONE else believes a word you say delusional simpleton.
