Ann Romney Has No Dignity?

Some people do, many do not. You are simply spouting more class envy bullshit. Mitt earned what he has today and you are jealous.

He's a stupid troll. Like you stated when you referenced Millionaire Mind most people don't become rich when they are young.

Did Theresa Heinz claim to relate to common women? Why don't I remember that?

Because you pretend that her assertion that she was "better qualified" to be the First Lady because she had a "real job" didn't do exactly that. Her claim was she had a better understanding of the plight of others because she had worked while Laura hadn't. She hadn't done her homework though and looked the fool. It worked against their campaign.

I laughed because it was an attempt by a multi-billionaire to begin a class warfare campaign.

No it wasn't. Heinz is a brilliant and educated woman who speaks five languages and has had tremendous accomplishments. She is not the kind of woman who has any interest in or use for housewives. Don't try and pretend that her male equivalent has any use for stay at home dads. They laugh at them. You guys demand powerful and accomplished women kiss the asses of stay at home moms, but you know damned well that powerful and accomplished men laugh at their male counterparts. They certainly don't take them seriously.

That said, IMO, Laura Bush was smart, and did have a track record of having worked in interesting fields. I like her and always have. I do respect her as well.

Ann Romney? Show me.

Cause I ain't seen nothing. I'll let you know if I ever do.

In the end, I just don't care that much, if at all. What difference does it make how long they've been rich? People tend to lose touch as they go - if they are rich in their 50's but were middle class in their 20's, I doubt that they can still relate much to that experience. It's long forgotten - and usually willfully.

Almost everyone at that level (the level to run for Prez) tends to be rich. I actually wish that were not always the case, but it just is. More alarming to me is the fact that Obama is about to break another record for campaign spending, but in general, I wish their was less money in politics - both personal & in the campaigns...

I think the last President that wasn't rich in this way was Eisenhower.

Her brilliance was not evident in her statement that she would be better qualified as somebody who had "worked" than somebody she believed in error to be a stay at home mother.

I agree.

A simple dismissal of the contribution of mothers. I'm glad you are willing to openly reject their contribution and hope your party continues in this particular manner to dismiss the value of women who take this role.

Again, since they never struggled finacialy, there would be nothing to forget. There is simply no way she can relate, having never been there.

Excellent overview and attitude, Darla.

So lets see, the Obama's made about $240k and yet Obama still maxed out his debt/outspent his income?

Oh I forgot to come back to this thread. The fact is that Damo said that Eisenhower was the last president who wasn't wealthy in the manner Romney is.

Sorry, but 240k a year ain't wealthy, you and I both know it, give me a break do we have to go 50 rounds on this obvious bs too? I'd rather just play ping pong and maybe smash one into your shoulder when you aren't expecting it.

Funny, the cons say nothing when photos are poseted attacking Michelle Obama for having a big ass, but Damocles gets all upset and offended over this Ann Romney thing that has already been apologized for!

It is far wealthier than Eisenhower, and than most of us. (There may be one or two that are wealthier here, but I doubt it.) In that year it probably put them in the top 1%. Now it takes about 340K to get you there. It was definitely well into the top 5% though.

If you are going to compare a two income family of four making 240 a year, with the kind of wealth Romney has, then you are just not being serious and there is no reason for me to entertain this. I have guys here who like to jerk off too, I am sure one will be in my office at any moment. I don't need to come online for this.

Yes.

It flat puts them into the top 5%, in fact probably top 2%. I am comparing that to most people, who aren't in the top 2% or so and to Eisenhower which was the last President who didn't have bundles of cash.
