versatile cartoon.....we could paint Obama on the Titanic and economy on the iceberg and it would serve double duty.....
Except it was Repelicans who tanked the economy and then, once they did that, wanted to make it worse. michigan was a great example. End of 2008 unemployment was 12% and ya'll wanted to kill the US auto Industry (very patriotic of you) Today unemployment is around 8% in michigan. So, it aint like the public has forgotten how badly Repelicans screwed the pooch. We'd have to be idiots to trust them.

Yes I remember all the usual suspects saying that the car industry should go to the wall including PiMP.

Glass Steagall... Clinton
2007-2008 Congress led by Democrats

No question Republicans share in the blame, as the fiscal policy from 2001-2006 was also horrid. But you are indeed an idiot to think it was Republicans or Republican policies alone that tanked the economy. Your masters were walking hand in hand with the Reps while leading us into a ditch. Your masters responded by doing nothing to prevent this from happening again. The too big to fail banks are now bigger. They are again taking on excessive risk. Why? Because they know your masters will bail them out again if things go bad, so why not try for the big payday?

It's shaping up to be a pretty interesting election. The economy will improve just enough to give Obama a "stay the course" kind of theme, but not enough for him to really brag about anything. On the other side, Romney is a deeply flawed candidate who is vulnerable on a few fronts & hardly ignites the base, but he does have the business background to work with.

If Obama does pull it off, the '14 midterms will probably mirror '94 a bit; it could be a generation before the Democrats regain control....

The bailout was necessary, but the structure of it was appalling. Allowing the unions to maintain their ownership while screwing over the other stockholders was complete bullshit.

Two things that might derail the opinion of the 'economy will improve enough':

1) Gas prices, if they remain high, they could trigger another pull back in the markets, consumer spending and jobs.

2) Spain... not sure if they (the EU) can push Spain past the election. If it goes to 'we have to bail them out' prior to the election, look for a world wide puckering up... cause that one is going to hurt. Spain's debt is 5 times the size of Greece.

The final part of your above I assume you are being sarcastic?

as always, you haven't got a clue.....you were pissed because Bush built up a $5 trillion deficit in eight years, so you went out and elected a guy who went through another $5 trillion in four years......he had four years to fix it and hasn't......now he wants another four years claiming he might still figure out how to do it if we give him more time......

LOL You're funny. Do they teach math at the school you went too? Not only did Bush burn through 5 trillion but 4 trillion of the 5 trillion in debt that occurred during the Obama administration was legislated during the Bush administration or did you just happen to over look that fact?

A rising tide lifts all boats but you Greedy Old Pricks just want to float your own boat.
