Some are still in the dark on Obama

Ughh! STOP IT! The answer is NOT MORE GOVERNMENT!!!!!

If you will recall, President Obama had the idea of funding bridges, levees and roads, long before you thought of it. After Congress forked over a trillion of our tax dollars, he was forced to admit "shovel ready jobs" didn't exist. Were you asleep during all that, or what?

Seriously ditzie... do try to stop 'thinking' for yourself. Just be like Dung and get your comments spoon fed to you.

1) I stated the money should be spent on infrastructure, that is a part of what the Fed does. It needs to be done. Just because Obama failed at actually funding the infrastructure, doesn't mean it was the wrong idea.

2) I did not say we needed more government ditzie. I stated the money the government spent should have (and still needs to be) done on areas where they can indeed affect jobs growth. Not on subsidizing failed enterprises such as pumping money to public unions.

As for technology, as I said before, we are ALWAYS going to have breakthroughs and advancements in technology, because we always have. Did we need some fucking government program because we stopped producing buggies and carriages and started producing automobiles? What about when we invented the assembly line? Did government have to swoop in and save us from modern technology? No, what happens is, entrepreneurs and capitalists find new ways to make a profit with the new technology, new industries open which never existed before, and with that, new jobs that never existed before. What happened to the people who made buggy whips when we started mass producing cars? Oh, an easy solution would have been to have a government-subsidized buggy whip industry... but did we do that? Nope... we allowed capitalism to happen, and eventually, people who once made buggy whips, learned how to work on an assembly line and make cars. Today, we don't have a problem with unemployed buggy whip makers, and the government never had to lift a finger, we solved the problem all on our own.

What exactly is the point of your above little rant ditzie? I was commenting on a part of the jobs market that the President has no control over. Or are you trying to agree with me? Do you even know what it is you were attempting to say? Or did you just go off on a rant and got lost?

Again, you fucking stubborn bull-headed moron..... Obama ran on the promise of funding "shovel ready jobs" (YOUR IDEA) and won! Once he was in office and had the money appropriated, he discovered there is no such thing as a "shovel ready job" and thus, nothing to fund. So we've tried the exact thing your idiot ass is proposing, and it didn't fucking work! Now, here you are, suggesting we need to try it again???

Federal money should not be spent on state and local construction projects, that is THEIR responsibility, not the US Government. This is exactly the kind of stuff we need to STOP doing, not do more of, you idiot.

Oh, poor ditzie. you are so sad. Do you understand that there are countless jobs that need to be done? Bridges, roads, dams... not to mention an initiative as I mentioned to convert transportation that could be done?

you seem to think that because Obama failed, it means the idea itself is a failure. That is where you are making your mistake. He couldn't pump money into projects as fast as he wanted, that does not mean the projects didn't exist.

the above is your opinion ditzie... but many projects benefit other states as well. A hydroelectric dam typically provides electricity for more than one state. An interstate highway is used by all. There is a reason these projects are done with federal money dear ditzie.

There are plenty of areas that can and should be cut from government spending. Infrastructure is not one of them.

No there is not, you fucking clueless rube! Again, Obama promised this SAME IDEA... he was given the money to do it... THEN had to sheepishly admit there is no such thing as "shovel ready" jobs. Do you not think a flaming liberal who lives to fritter away our money, would admit there is no such thing as "shovel ready" jobs, if there had been ANY WAY POSSIBLE to present that illusion?

There are no roads, bridges and dams that need to be built, because, guess what? Whenever people need those things, they hold city council meetings or county commission meetings, or state legislature meetings, and they appropriate state and local funds to do the job, and then DO IT!

Convert transportation? TO WHAT EXACTLY? There are at least a half dozen various ideas on what kind of "green" transportation we should have! How has the Governmental project going on this wonderful new hybrid car I keep hearing so much about, the Volt??? Selling a lot of those, are we? Before something CAN be "converted over" to something else, we first need to collectively decide which way we're going, and then the capitalist marketplace will meet the demand for whatever products we embrace as consumers. It doesn't happen the other way around, it has NEVER worked like that. If Obama, in all his liberal brilliance, couldn't make it work, I seriously doubt your retarded ass would fare much better.

Listen to how stupid you sound. It was a liberal idea, and it FAILED! The projects DIDN'T exist, and he finally had to admit that! I don't know where you get this idea he couldn't spend our money fast enough, Congress appropriated the funds, they were there to spend as fast and furious as he wanted to, there was just nothing "shovel ready" for him to spend it on.

Oh, I understand, there are SOME projects which require SOME federal assistance, but those are rare exceptions, and should never be made the rule.

There are plenty of areas that can and should be cut from government spending. Infrastructure is not one of them.

Federal funding for "bridge to nowhere" projects, are NOT what we need to be focusing on at this time. Sorry.

....SF, why don't you let that liberal inside of you out, he's screaming to be heard!

"SF, why don't you let that liberal inside of you out, he's screaming to be heard! "

I heard he does after three tequilas and that it's really hot. But I can't confirm this.

Oh, I don't think it takes tequila at all. I am beginning to think SF is just as much a flaming liberal as you are, he has just done a better job at trying to portray himself as a moderate independent. Too bad all that work is for nothing, when he reveals his true liberalism like this.

Trust me... after three tequilas it isn't anything other than tequila that will be coming out. Mexico ruined tequila for me when I was 17.

LMAO... seriously ditzie... this is almost as absurd as '1/3 doesn't exist'.

No roads, bridges etc... need to be built/repaired? Seriously, you are quite fucking retarded.

So again, you point to a failed idea and use it to proclaim that since one idea failed that no others can be tried? Damn ditzie... you just can't help but spout nonsense.

As I have stated many times. The technology exists today to convert from gasoline based engines to nat gas. The thing that does not exist is the distribution infrastructure. That is where the government can help to create jobs while at the same time reduce our dependency on foreign oil. Part of that initiative would include drilling our own resources. I know you are a fucking idiot and will likely rant on about some nuance or another, but do try to at least think about this for a minute.

Moron... the projects exist, they just weren't ready to implement right away... so Obama spent the money elsewhere in a vain attempt to be seen 'doing something'.

Oh, I understand, there are SOME projects which require SOME federal assistance, but those are rare exceptions, and should never be made the rule.

Dear ditzie... no one ever stated that the Fed should be in charge of every project. But there are plenty of interstate highways, dams, levees, bridges throughout the country that do meet the need for Fed involvement.

Federal funding for "bridge to nowhere" projects, are NOT what we need to be focusing on at this time. Sorry.

Dear ditzie... no one suggested we build things that were not necessary. That is simply more of your stupidity. Please try and limit your posts to two stupid comments. Putting 30 in one post makes it very hard to read.

You do understand what 'shovel ready' means, do you not?

YES. It means jobs like you are presently yammering about, with regard to infrastructure. These jobs do not exist. We know they don't exist because Obama couldn't find them. If they had existed, Obama would have found them, given them some money, and had his picture made doing it. But he couldn't find any, so he had to admit these jobs didn't exist.

No roads, bridges etc... need to be built/repaired? Seriously, you are quite fucking retarded.

See, here's your prob... you can't fucking read. I did not say that no roads or bridges need repair. Go back and read what I posted again, and see if you clarify what was said again. Whenever my county or state road needs work, my county or state government swings into action, my elected representatives either appropriate money or levy a tax to come up with the money, and they repair the road, or build new roads, bridges too! Sometimes, they might ask the federal government for some help with a project, but NEVER does the federal government go tell a county or state where and when to build or repair a road or bridge, that is MY responsibility, as they are MY representatives.

So again, you point to a failed idea and use it to proclaim that since one idea failed that no others can be tried? Damn ditzie... you just can't help but spout nonsense.

No, I am pointing at a moronic idiot who thinks he is a 'moderate', yammering nonsense about a tried and failed cockamamie liberal idea. So far, I am PWNING his ass, because all he can seem to do is misconstrue things that have been said, and hurl insults, as he continues to stubbornly spew liberalism from every orifice.

As I have stated many times. The technology exists today to convert from gasoline based engines to nat gas.

As I have stated many times, that is an EXCELLENT idea.... for the PRIVATE SECTOR!

I actually agree that the Federal government does have a role here and can help. I disagree on the method. Here's how the Feds could help 'convert' us to NG... Announce that by 2018, all government vehicles will be NG! That's 6 years to phase out current fleets of gasoline-powered vehicles, and replace them with NG. By this one action, the Feds would cause the major manufacturers of gov't vehicles, to develop an entire line of NG vehicles, which would be made available to the general public. Fuel suppliers, also wanting to benefit from gov't business, would start implementing distribution plans, and we'd start seeing NG fueling stations pop up all over the country. By the time we get to 2018, the consumer public would be catching on, and the rest is history.

Now, MY plan, doesn't really involve some massive government fortune being doled out to bureaucrats, or siphoned off by crooked politicians and their crooked contributors. It's basically money we are already going to be spending when we update the gov't fleets. Unlike your FAILED idea, which created entities like SOLYNDRA, my idea might actually WORK!

Moron... the projects exist, they just weren't ready to implement right away... so Obama spent the money elsewhere in a vain attempt to be seen 'doing something'.

LMAO... So the projects exist, they just weren't ready to be implemented? Why not? Were people busy doing other things, like checking to see if their unemployment check had arrived? I don't get it! You are telling us that the government needs to fund these projects, but then you tell us the projects are not ready to be implemented yet! It's pretty fucking pathetic when you are literally throwing money down a rat hole, and the rats are throwing it back at you, telling you they aren't ready for it yet! LMFAOOOoooooo! You're too much, SF!!

Dear ditzie... no one ever stated that the Fed should be in charge of every project. But there are plenty of interstate highways, dams, levees, bridges throughout the country that do meet the need for Fed involvement.

Well there might be, I don't know how many there are.... but wouldn't it be a much better plan to have the state and locals come ask feds for the money when they need it, rather than trying a backwards approach of federally funding mythical projects that don't exist? It is NOT the Federal government's business to decide where a damn needs to be built. This is done by state and local officials, who are elected by the people of the state, not federal officials who are elected by other states.

Dear ditzie... no one suggested we build things that were not necessary. That is simply more of your stupidity. Please try and limit your posts to two stupid comments. Putting 30 in one post makes it very hard to read.

No, that's EXACTLY what you are suggesting we do! AFTER Obama has already done it, and FAILED at it!
