Gibbs: Romney’s Message Is ‘You Didn’t Clean Up Our Mess Fast Enough’

Vote Early And Often
Top Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs said on Meet the Press Sunday that the “biggest idea” of Obama’s reelection campaign would be a message of continuing “moving in the right direction of fixing this economy.”

“We know this about Mitt Romney,” Gibbs said, “he’s not a job creator. When he was governor of Massachusetts, they were 47th out of 50 in job creation. His experiences in downsizing and outsourcing jobs and bankrupting companies and walking away with a lot of money for himself. His economic ideas are the failed economic ideas that we tried for eight years.”

Gibbs responded to another question about women voters and the economy, saying, “David, their message is: You didn’t clean up our mess fast enough.”

Obama's no job creator either, but I'll bet Romney would be better at that. Why not vote for him, instead, Gutterman?

Romney has proven to be a job destroyer. Obama reversed the gwb job drain and has now created millions of jobs and opened the doors for millions more right here in the USA. I'm hanging with Obama on this round.

romney a job destroyer....truly hilarious

While gov. of Mass. he ranked 47th in the nation for job growth (decline). Known for shutting down multiple profitable industries costing thousands of American jobs moving some overseas and walking away filthy rich. Demonstrating no understanding whatsoever the plights of average Americans or kitchen table budgetary concerns. Not only is romney a job destroyer he is a blatant fraud. But he's what you have. Go with him.

That is a truly warped view of what Bain did. Tell us, what was the unemployment rate in MA during Romney's tenure as governor?

Romney took office with an unemployment rate at 5.6% and left office with a rate of 4.6%. So do go on about his inability to create jobs.

Also... do post for us the link showing he ranked 47th.

I can see the slogan now. Mitt Romney: He's got great timing.

LMAO... Your leftist buddies are the ones that brought this up. The point I am making is that the state of MA was very close to full employment when he took office and below that level when he left. It is rather hard to envision any state getting lower than 4.5%. Very rarely are levels this low. So tell us genius, how is the 'he ranked 47th' in terms of job growth claim merit with you? Are you going to criticize that nonsense as well?

Yes, that's a nonsense question.

By the way, here's a chart of unemployment and government employment (based on percentage change) in Massachusetts during Romeny's tenure:

While it's hard to envision a state going lower than 4.5%, Massachusetts got there in large part thanks to the government, not Mitt Ronmey's wonderful record as a private sector job creator.
