Is the alleged GOP's war on women a false liberal boogeyman?

Actually, it's extremely funny that you have no idea what the GOP's history is on those issues, considering that they were all highly publicized over the past decade.

That really backs up what you've said about getting into politics very recently, and not knowing much about it. And the Head Start thing is also still very hilarious.

where did i say i have no idea? i'm merely asking you for cites to substantiate YOUR claims. as usual, you can't because you know you are full of shit.

I gave you cites last week, and you kept ignoring them and asking me to cite. Ergo, I don't really care to cite for you, and I don't care that you're ignorant on the issues. This is something I have known.

Like I said - if you want to talk about women's issues, do your own work. Look up any one of those issues; educate yourself. The GOP has been consistently against women on every one of them; and again, usually with plenty of publicity. Frankly, it's pretty embarassing for you to even ask for a cite on any of them. It's like me saying Kerry lost in '04, and you asking for a cite.

Of course you'd like to see cites - so you can ignore them. Do your own research; the GOP has been against women on every one of those issues, and more.

As for Head Start, did you really ask what that has to do w/ women? That's pure ignorance - it's hilarious that you're even trying to debate women's issues w/out realizing the significance of that...

Its hilarious you think HS to a women's issue...

Actually, Yurt is more accurate.........Head Start has nothing to do with women because of gender.....it has to do with low-income families.....

Low income families are usually headed by single parents, and usually women, but gender is not the relevant criteria......

Head Start is about children and income.....there 'mission statement' is

"Head Start promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services".....note, nothing about women.

You just contradicted yourself. I'll let you think on it awhile.

I bolded to try to help.

And you're an idiot. Do you not think that women, with young pre-school age children would want to give their children a "head start" on education and educational opportunities???
My mother was an elementary school teacher and a strong advocate of Head Start.

Try having a grown up explain the post to you.....

you really need some remedial help with reading comprehension.....

Did you miss this part....gender is not the relevant criteria ?

Low income children can be in the care of Dad or Granddad for that matter......its not NECESSARY for the head of the family to be Mom or Granny....

Of course they would....so would young MEN if that was the case......your Mammy should have paid more attention to your education in that case....

its a welfare program, nothing more, nothing less....the only thing wrong with it is excessive funding, fraud and wasteful spending as with most social welfare programs....

November 8, 2011

YEADON, Pa. — President Obama visited a schoolhouse in this suburb of Philadelphia on Tuesday to announce stricter financing standards for the government’s Head Start program, which offers preschool training for children from low-income families.

Obviously, even Obama sees the problems with it....

I said I'd let you think on it awhile.

You didn't do that, did you?

Read Anderson Cooper's tweets. He pointed out this particular ads inaccuracies, he has never claimed there isn't a war on women.

Funny, it is always mostly guys trying to tell women what is affecting us and what isn't.

We have the truth, we don't need fabrications of facts, it takes away the respectability of a serious issue. Women's rights.

stop fighting the war on men. p.s. you can't deny the war on men because you are a woman, so you have no say if there is actually a war on men.

more men vote republican than for democrats. clearly the democrats are fighting a war on men.

trying to raise taxes results in lots of taxes being taken from men

clearly democrats hate men. they keep waging wars! on men!

why do the Dems wage war on intelligence?......

the "war on women" tagline is pure propaganda, I think it's hilarious how the proles call it out and embrace it with open arms. It just shows how intellectually deficient some of you are now.

State cuts funding across the board? "hmmm, that affects woman! we can call that the war on women too!"

liar. if, i repeat if, you actually gave cites last week, i didn't ignore them. that is what you do.

the reality is, you messed up here. you can't support your claims, so you will just stick to ad homs. if you're going to make claims, be prepared to back them up and don't get pissy when you're asked to support them. comparing your claims to kerry's loss is truly laughable. this shows what a huge hack you are. your claims are no where near as known as kerry's loss. not only is your comparison laughable, it is downright dishonest.

My mammy? You've lost your monkey mind. My mother was never my mammy. White youth, whose families owned slaves, in the South, were "reared" by "mammies", or didn't you see "Gone with the Wind"? It was more important for black women who had the "mammy role", to forego having children of their own, as the care of the white children, in their charge, was paramount.

My mother emphasized education in our home, where World Book Encyclopedia and Encyclopedia Britannica was always available, in addition to the Great Books of the Western World.
Apparently, that wasn't true for you.
Head Start is about income.....there 'mission statement' is

"Head Start promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services".....note, nothing about women.

As your mistaking "there" for "their" is no grammatical error...but a lacking, on your part, of knowing the difference between the two words.

Apparently, your "mammy" didn't teach you to read.

Head Start is a vital and necessary program, to "jump start" the educational process for low income and disadvantaged youth, to insure their competing, on a level playing field with their white counterparts.

That's really rich, coming from you, who can't tell the difference between their and there.
