Romney apologizes

WRONG, Ive been on several commercial flights where dogs were in the cabin, my mother travels with her dog in the cabin all the time, its a $50 charge.

yeah jarod....already got it more than once....thanks so much!!!! really...you told me twice, thank you, thank you jarod!!!!!!

at abc...

ABCNews.com:

White, in an interview with ABC News, said that he is “still debating” whether he will help the campaign, remarking, “It’s been a long time since we’ve been pals.” While the Post reports White as having “long been bothered” by the haircutting incident,” he told ABC News he was not present for the prank, in which Romney is said to have forcefully cut a student’s long hair and was not aware of it until this year when he was contacted by the Washington Post.

hmm... why would ABC report the above it the original Post piece was unchanged?

Let's assume the original WaPo article was wrong about how long Stu White was disturbed by the incident and did a stealth correction. So what? What the hell does that have to do with anything?

Doing drugs is one thing, bullying a weaker boy is quite another, this was the worst type of bullying.

Had Romney called the kid and appologised 10 years ago and not only after he was exposed to the press while running for president, that would have been a real appology.

um bullying is about picking on a weaker kid :pke:

that is ridiculous jarod, you don't even think about those things as a youth and i have no doubt it left his mind as he grew older, got married and stopped acting that way. i certainly did and know many who have.

you first said he should apologize and say he is different now....he did. now you're wanting more. nothing he will ever say will appease you.

cutting hair is a prank...bullying yes, but i've seen worse pranks to freshman, in fact i had one that could be considered worse and i never considered torture or anything more than a prank...and afterwards, it was all cool...

Holding someone down and cutting is not simply a prank, its aggravated assault with a deadly weapon at the Palm Beach County State Attorneys Office.

Your welcome, dont be so sure of yourself in the future. If you dont know something dont state it as fact!

So CBS reprinted it wrong, but you have zero evidence that the WAPO made a stealth correction.

So, in your world, CBS copied the entire story word for word, but somehow changed that part?

In your world, ABC reported that the Post article was wrong, yet they must have also been not using the Post piece?

In your world, the screen capture of the post article using the same exact wording as the CBS article that doesn't exist?

DENIAL

SF, I'm not sure if you're keeping up w/ the times on this one. Bullying is serious shit; kids lose their lives over it pretty regularly, and there are programs to raise awareness on it everywhere because it can be so damaging. It's not a "boys will be boys" thing anymore.

it wasn't in the 60's...nor when i was in school in the 80's. apples/oranges you know onceler....you know like how you guys all forgive byrd for being a KKK member...

frack you very much jarod. sincerely. i believed it to be fact based on past experience with family and friends trying to take their animals oversees.

yours truly,

frackoff you smug bastard :)

1) They lied

2) They changed the article without telling its readers, trying to cover up their lie

3) The sisters of the 'victim' say the Post story is inaccurate as well

But yeah, no big deal... we should believe the rest of the Post piece.

I once merely said something mean to a weaker kid when I was in High School. It bothered me for years, I called him about 10 years later and apologised. The kid did not remember the incident but appreciated the call. We are now facebook friends and keep up regularly.

IT appears you are correct, it calls the intent of the author in question for me... but does not change what the others remembered.

Hardly! I want the mother fucker on his knees! I want to see flagilation! I want so see tears and wailing! I want to see self mutilation in utter shame for what he has done!

But seriously, this is why a career in politics sucks. He had to apologise for being a dick in prep school? Hell, who isn't a dick in prep school....other than Darla?

no shit...i've seen worse than hair cutting. it was a different time back then. people are being disingenuous to try and compare actions in the 60's with actions today. it is completely different world.

for example...libs have forgiven byrd for being a KKK member...he left, apologized and the left kept voting for him and constantly defend him today. romney has changed, apologized....but of course the left won't let him move on. apparently the left believes it is better to be a KKK member than cut someone's hair.

The sisters do not say what was inacurate about the article, I suspect they do not belive there brother was gay.

you mean it doesn't change what the Post reports they remember.

Their main source for the story was an Obama campaign worker...

The sisters do not say what was inacurate about the article, I suspect they do not belive there brother was gay.

ABC reports what she said was inaccurate. Hold on to your hat, this is big:

"She also corrected the story, saying her brother was a boarder, not a day student."

LMAO

yeah, they mocked the kid because he had long hair... while the guy came out of the closet later in life, it was not something any of the Obama campaigners mentioned. Romney picked on the kid because he had long hair... CA style long hair. In the midwest that still would have gotten you mocked in the 80's.

and called a girl in the 70's. i remember in the even in the early 80's people were teased for long hair.
