1 Million + Protesters In DC

Could you narrow that down to how many "tens", please?

no...but tens of thousands certainly doesn't remotely imply tens of hundreds of thousands.

the youtube video showed lots of folks... I bet I saw fifty thousand folks in that video....

CERTAINLY not a million.

LOL

Oh yes, I keep forgetting the Olbermann rule with you guys. Every other news medium but MSNBC & CNN are liars.

did those two say tens of thousands? I haven't watched news on tv all day. I got tens of thousands from five different US print media outlets.

YOU get a million from the Mail???? hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Yes, you did, and it was the beginning...it's awesome.
I'm stunned that what has resonated for so long and for so much of my own life is now becoming the center of a movement.

The true nature of politics, no matter the reason anybody enters into the big game, is the adjudication of power, it answers the question of "Who will rule whom"... this movement is themed on the idea that the true power should be in the hands of the people and that the people should rule the government.

For too long in this nation this equation has been backwards, I love and am excited about the fact that this is now the center of a larger movement. I believed that this could happen, but for so long it has been mocked that some malaise was unavoidable. The "sleeping giant" begins to wake, I just hope that it will get all the way up and out of bed...

You will do very well. I have no doubts at all. I am so excited for you.

There is no doubt that people are fed up. I liked what Beck said today about this not being about a left/right paradigm, but about a "let's end the corruption" paradigm. Though the protesters were mostly republican's, libertarian's and independents...I saw a number of democrats carrying signs calling themselves fed up or concerned democrats.

A number of the protesters identified themselves as a silent majority...your sleeping giant analogy fitting for that sentiment.

you are looking at the attendance estimate through a fun house mirror!

a million, my ass.:pke:

Even that bastion of liberal propaganda, the Washington Times, puts it at less that one-tenth of a million.

"Rally leaders estimated the crowd at about 75,000, but others said it was larger than that. Organizers had expected between 25,000 and 50,000."

http://washingtontimes.com/news/2009/sep/13/capitol-tea-party-rally-assails-big-government/

Carrying signs depicting President Obama as Adolf Hitler and the Joker, and chanting slogans such as "'No big government" and "Obamacare makes me sick," approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people flooded Pennsylvania Ave, according to the Washington DC Fire Department.

Based on the pics crowd estimates are going to be between 1 and 2 million people. The point being it was the largest protest of conservative voters ever.
