It's a little more complex than that, many of the representatives and certainly about 90 percent of the Senators are millionaires: they pay lip service to the voters and then vote their own self interest and that of their class once they are in a position of power. That is why they are generally supportive of legalities that benefit their class and their classmates. But at the same time they have to get elected to do that and to get elected they need to collect massive amounts of money from the same interests who have legislation before them on a regular basis. I asked cawacko, in one of the many questions that he never answered, how many lobbyists he had on his payroll. I know the answer! But I generally don't ask a question unless I know the answer already. And therein lies the crux, lawmakers generally work at the behest of lobbyists who then transfer funds from high contributors to the people who carry their water, legislatively speaking.
I bolded the pertinent part of your comments to highlight one of the biggest problems of the abomination called the Tax Code.
The only way to stop this level of political power brokering and crony capitalism is to repeal it and supplant it with a Fair Tax (prefferred) or a Flat tax.
Do you support either of these? If you don't, then you're not really interested in real reform.

You don't know the first thing about me because you never have listened. Maybe spending too much time trolling like a 12 year old instead of reading posts. "Anti-Party" doesn't mean don't vote either and if you take it that way it's your own fault. It means don't solidify yourself into a party, otherwise you will start being bias and unable to think for yourself on individual topics.
The reason I come off as Left is because I don't feel like I have much to teach the Left. Most of them seem to study the Right wing. Yet the Right doesn't study the Left at all, they are forbidden to by their media cult.
I've openly stated I'm anti-abortion, I believe we need voter ID, we need a better system for police to bust illegals and we need lots of SMART spending cuts. But I'm assuming that since I said "smart" spending cuts you think I'm a Leftist...

I want to note that what you bolded was wrong of me to say. The politicians don't write the tax code, the corporations that donate to them literally write them for the politician.
That said you think the Fair Tax is the only fix. I am close to on board with the fair tax but it has major flaws. Right now we can overturn Citizens United which is the first common sense step. Jumping from step 1 to step 10 seems uneducated to me. Cap the amount citizens can donate to politicians and STOP Corporations from donating. You can't force an employee to spend or make money for a political party and we all know that someone in any of these corporations is from a different party.
