1990 pages....

Turd provided it in this thread, we've already been discussing it...

Yeah, check out that thread SF. I posted the latest CBO report on your favored "tort reform" solution to rising healthcare costs. It concludes that costs would go down by about 0.5%.

interesting....doesn't that make it the first health care reform proposal that would actually score as reducing costs?....

1990 pages of gobbledygook that we citizens are suppose to read and understand everything in it...

but thank goodness we have our oh so intelligent guberment representatives in place to make sense of it all...

I love it. First, they won't post the bill. Then, when the bill is posted it is "gobbledygook" that you can't understand. Then, when the Chairman's Mark is posted in plain English, it isn't good enough because it isn't the bill text.

And all the while you ignore what is actually in the bills.

It's a joke. Did you see the abortion part?... and of course the government option is still there.

There is a reason most of them went to law school.

Yes, because corporations, whom conservatives love oh so much, always post completely and totally legible documents in a public place concerning all of their actions. And their dealing with things far more complex than re-regulating 1/8 of the economy, as well.

IMHO, if you can't even re-regulate 1/8 of the economy in ten pages on a level that the average conservative can understand (we're talking less than first grade reading level here), you're utterly retarded.

Ah, but Obama promised that everything would be public and on C-SPAN. One lie after another.

I don't understand the criticism of this bill being 1990 pages long. The only thing I can think of is how much conservatives hate to read. Apart from that, I can't imagine why that has anything to do with anything.

what is "re-regulation"?.....fixing the problems that mere 'regulation' caused?.....will we need to re-re-regulate shortly?.....

Yes, I did see the parts. Which one are you referring to?

Page 109: Abortion coverage prohibited as part of minimum benefits package.

Page 147: No preemption of state laws regarding abortion.

Page 148: Non-discrimination on abortion and respect for rights of conscience.

Page 246: Prohibition of use of public funds for abortion coverage.

These are just a few of the 10 pages (out of 1990) that mention the topic.
