2024 Election Follies: the Great VP debate!

Okay, so in about 2 hours the debate for the VP nominations between "Coach" Walz and Little Dump (aka Vance) will take place.

IMHO, if the Dems want to win this race, they'll have to let Walz be Walz! The guy is a long term, successful AND POPULAR governor who is actually articulate AND plain spoken at the same time. Left to his own devices, he would relentlessly hit Vance on the following:

1. His deplorable statements regarding the abortion issue, and how women have either died or were damaged for life because of what Dump, the SCOTUS and the christo-fascists freaks in red states have wrought.

2. His deplorable statements regarding the "worth" of women.

3. His admitting to the lie regarding Haitians in Ohio and blowing off the repercussions (violent threats against Haitians) as "necessary".

4. How his potential future boss told the GOP NOT to vote on a comprehensive BI-PARTISAN border bill in order to maintain chaos and the "blame Biden" scenario for the campaign.

5. His early recorded diatribes against Cheeto Jeezus as a despicable human being unfit for office.

Those are the basics .... things Little Dump can only blow smoke about. In other words, DON'T LET VANCE OR THE MODERATORS DETRACT FROM THESE POINTS!
Hopefully, Walz will ignore the DNC guidelines, which is not to be "too harsh" against his opponent. :palm:

Since Reagan, the GOP has been playing dodge ball while the Dems have been playing chess. Time to flip the script, fellas!
 
He should DEFINITELY bring up Trance's Hitler comparisons.

And the unheard of level of craven opportunism and hypocrisy it takes to do such a turn around.

Then hammer on it relentlessly.

Vance is VERY good at shoveling the shyte! Comes off very earnest, very sincere, and very adept at dodging a direct question and/or blowing lies fast and furious out of his pie hole.

Walz comes off as somewhat clumsy and tepid. Although he did touch on the topics listed in the OP here, he didn't do it with earnest or enough facts to make a stronger case. Case in point, his waffling before admitting he screwed up about when he was in China.

What delivered a death blow to Vance's vacuous verbiage was two things: the topics of abortion and Jan. 6th. Walz put the kibosh on Vance's bullshit by just relating real life stories of what effect the current dissolving of Roe v. Wade and setting of determination by individual states has on women. Vance trying to bypass DEATH CAUSED BY HIS POLICY just look REAL BAD!

And then the coupe de gras came when Vance tried to BS and trivialize Jan. 6th. Walz killed when he pointed the reason why Vance and NOT Pence was on the stage, and when he asked the American people if they wanted a VP who will hold a President accountable to the Constitution and rule of law or to the whims of a President?
Vance's refusal to admit in no uncertain terms that Trump lost the 2020 election fair and square by saying he was "looking to the future" was called by Walz as, "A damning non-answer"!

So I call it a 60-40 in Walz's favor.

Let the spin games begin!
 
I did not watch it but from X it is clear that the Regime botched it, partly because WALZ is not up to the task and partly because it was 3 on 1 again....the Regime learned nothing from the Presidential outing.

undecided voters don't give a shit about January 6th. Walz didn't look presidential, Vance did.

Mark Kelly would have done a Hell of a lot better.....is the Regime picking low quality people on purpose because it keeps happening.
 
Harris/Walz is increasingly looking to me like an intentional "FUCK YOU!" to the American people....that the Regime is installing two stunningly unqualified people to lower morale.....to take the fight out of us.

As Neil Oliver has been saying they are rubbing our noses in it.

Why they thought Minnesota would help them deliver the Midwest to the Dems is beyond me. Minnesota is an outlier, has been for a very long time. Very stupid move on the Harris campaigns part. They would have been MUCH better off with Josh Shapiro. Massive screw up on their part....... :laugh:
 
The people of Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa have a LOT in common personality wise. Minnesota? Not so much. They consider themselves the " San Francisco of the midwest" which is kind of silly when you consider that much of the small state is a hideous frozen tundra. :laugh:

They were afraid of the anti Jew voters. They let the Palestinians intimidate them. Walz was horrible pick.
