China is communistic, not socialist. NK is a dictatorship. Cuba is communist since 1961. They would be far better off and freer if we had traded with them. Vietnam is governed by the Communist Party of Vietnam.Again, we laugh at you.

You have no idea what you are typing about. The countries which you sloppily label as socialist have higher standards of living than we do. There are 4 million Americans living in Nordic countries. They are not fleeing. The dictatorships do not have many people leave. They close the borders up tight and threaten death to prevent it. Your confusion about other nations requires some reading. You do not know how far off you are.
As an example, Russia being communist. The distribution of wealth in Communist countries would not have Putin reported as the richest person on the planet. It evolved into something quite different than communism. It is a dictatorship like Trump is pushing.
Many fled Russia when he started the Ukraine war. They were all over European countries. Putin stopped that.

Sure it's worked, as in Social Security, Medicare, unemployment compensation, minimum wage laws, worker safety laws, a host of other laws and regulations that long ago broke the backs of the Robber Barons.

It was an actual Gallup poll and it did show the figures as he said. But the question was vague - “do you view socialism positively or negatively?” 66% of Dems did. I suspect why is that Dems have a better idea of what socialism is than Republicans. We see that on this forum repeatedly.

The overall results were:

“Americans are more positive toward capitalism than socialism, but the 54% viewing capitalism favorably is down from 60% in 2021 and near that level in most prior years. Americans remain more negative (57%) than positive (39%) toward socialism, with little movement in these attitudes over time.”

The poll is talking to people who think socialism is like Scandinavian countries, which are capitalist. In fact, they think they are voting for universal medical care , a fairer tax system, and free university education. So take down the Socialism a few notches.

Nordic countries are usually pinned with the Socialism label. They are not . They just have a more even distribution of wealth than we do. We have the worst wealth gap America has ever had. Money =power. You know where the power is in America. Trump filled admin positions and agencies with millionaires and billionaires.
