There's nothing to "work out". Democrats have decided to use Snap recipients and our military as leverage to renegotiate sunset provisions in Obamacare Covid funding they legislated.

That should occur during budget negations for the new year. Not during a CR to keep the government operating until a budget can be passed.

And as I have said before IMO the dems should fold let the cuts to federal programs go through and they should make sure the people know all these cuts that will hurt a lot of people mostly MAGAS in RED southern states ( seeing they are the ones that use and need these programs the most ) were made to these programs by the Republicans.
YEP let the Republican cuts go through and start hurting the people that need them the most , People in southern RED states and then watch them cry they don't have these programs they need.

They'd first have to HAVE some successes that were worth mentioning. They tried to do that on their own party website, but even their own party website purposely ignores the first 100 years of their history (their own pro-slavery views and Republicans freeing the slaves) and it also steals from Republican successes (women's suffrage, civil rights). It could hardly come up with anything of their own that THEY'VE actually done beyond FDR and Obama fucking shit up.

EDIT: hahahahahahaha, so it gets even funnier yet..... since the last time I've checked it, they've now completely removed their own history from their website (during the latter part of last year) hahahahahaha.

Senate Democrats have two options:

1) Continue to capitulate to the extreme-left of their base and "keep digging a deeper hole" for themselves re: public perception.

2) Vote to open the government back up so that their constituents can get their food stamps.

2a) If they allow their constituents to go without food stamps, then it is even more clear than it already is that they WANT violence on the streets.

No, the Democrats are willing to vote to open it up, on the condition that Medicaid spending is not slashed. Republicans are unwilling to do what it takes to open it.

All the while billions are being sent to Argentina.
