As Carlin pointed out often those in charge do not want educated citizens, they want us compliant which is easier to get done when the people are ignorant and living in fear.......that is the purpose of the schools now....producing slaves.

Lack of parental involvement in education has nothing to do with race. Instead, it has everything to do with poverty vs a middle class income. My youngest is a special ed teacher in Illinois. She moved from a low-income-family school district (mostly white) to an upper middle class district (also mostly white) three years ago. The difference is startling.

It was very striking during the pandemic when they attempted to hold classes remotely. She spent hours upon hours preparing video lessons for her kids, including reading time. She created and printed worksheets for the kids, and *hand delivered them to their homes.* Even so, few of the parents bothered to participate and help their kids. This was at the other district in the low-income area.

Teachers and $$ can only do so much. It takes parents, too, no matter what race they are.
