50, 57 States

Except that Sarin acutualy said you can see russia from Alaska in response to a question about her foreign policy experience, so it is not a line of crap.
And you CAN see Russia from Alaska.....

and really pinhead....seeing Russia from Alaska is far different than seeing Russia from my home......you can fuckin' read can't you ?

Yes, I can read, but unlike you I can think as well. Seeing Russia from the edge of Alaska is definitely qualification for being POTUS isn't it nitwit?

The Goddess of Gaffes says John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father.

"John Quincy Adams most certainly was a part of the Revolutionary War era. He was a young boy but he was actively involved.”

Still want to tell us how smart the Bach-to-Mom bimbo is?

Now we find out that some rightwad revisionists, humiliated by the Tea Party 'Tard's complete ignorance have pulled a 'Palinista' attack on Wikipedia.

Several strange edits have shown up on Wikipedia entries pertaining to famed Americans referenced by Republican presidential candidate Michelle Bachmann -- specifically, it appears that her fans have attempted to rewrite the lives of actor John Wayne and President John Quincy Adams to fit her woefully inaccurate retellings of history...

i don't really like palin or bachman, but legion and dune's obsession with those is very telling. they hate women in power. especially if they are conservatives.

:awesome:

obama-prayer-300x231.jpg

And Lord, please, please, PLEASE let the Republicans nominate Michele Bachmann. Amen.

translation:

oops, i fucked up. i was talking about other righties, but i tried to get out of that, but yurt is just too smart for my meadowmuffins

and really, if you're going to post this tired crap over and over, you should not be telling anyone about what they should post:

^ that is the definition of having nothing at all to say ^

why is it you don't go after the left when they constantly bash palin for seeing russia? oh thats right, you only bash righties, but applaud your lefties for doing the same thing....just like you made a huge stink over 3 obama threads and called it ODS...yet you constantly ignore the dozens of bachman threads.

That's a poor translation. I didn't fuck up; I said "righties", because I meant "righties," because "righties" tend to bring up 57 states a lot. How is that so difficult to comprehend? I worry about you.

Though I think you know you don't have a leg to stand on, since you went into your usual rant about why I'm not slamming lefties equally. We must all slam everyone equally, after all.

so you're dropping the statement you were talking about the OP....LOL

and after continually slamming ID, myself and others for not calling out the right (a lie on my part at least)....it is now snarky to make fun of equally slamming the other side. do you not ever tire of your words coming back and kicking you in the ass? maybe you like that sort of thing....

No - I'm not dropping that. It's really challenging talking to someone who can't read. I was addressing the OP, which was about 57 states; just another rightie talking yet again about a gaffe that was years ago. I'm definitely worried about you now...how can you possibly not comprehend that?

As for the 2nd point, like I said - I lost the Yurt guidelines. If we slam the right, we must slam the left equally, and immediately - and vice versa. Got it now.

YOU CAN'T READ!!!!

your posts are 90% canned phrases just regurgitated whenever you post. it doesn't matter what is said or by whom, you can't admit you're wrong and refuse to discuss facts and logic, hence why you rely on canned phrases for virtually all posting situations.

But you can't. I'm sorry about that.

I said "righties", Yurt, because "righties" bring up 57 states a lot. Your attempt to dissect that and find a gotcha is, as always, absurd. Entertaining, though.

lol...onceler thinks "righties" is singular

i seriously can't believe you're still stuck on this....give yourself a face palm and move on

Liberals in and out of the media are constantly telling us that President Barack Obama is a really smart guy. He's a "genius" in the words of his chief sycophant Chris Matthews. And yet, for such a supposedly smart guy, Obama seems to be ill-informed about many things, like the fact that we have 50 states in this country or that the word corpsman isn't pronounced like a dead body.

The latest Obama gaffe came yesterday in a speech he gave to the Army's 10th Mountain Division in which he mistakenly identified a fallen member of that division as another soldier in a completely different Army unit who is alive.

As he so often does, Obama was speaking about himself before making the major gaffe:

First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there.

I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.

Trouble is, however, SFC Monti did, in fact, receive the award posthumously in 2009, three years after he was killed in Afghanistan in 2006. Obama did award the Medal of Honor to a living Army service member, Sal Giunta, a staff sergeant in another Army unit, the 173rd Airborne Brigade.

Except that Sarin acutualy said you can see russia from Alaska in response to a question about her foreign policy experience, so it is not a line of crap.

Wow.... do you actually think you are being clever calling her 'Sarin'? It simply makes you look fucking retarded.

As for Alaska, you CAN indeed see a part of Russia from a part of Alaska. Palin's ACTUAL quote:

""They're our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."

That is 100% correct.

Just as she was correct with regards to Revere as historians in Boston verified. While they are both tiny bits of trivia, they are both correct. Yet when SNL via Tina Fey parodied the Alaska comment into "I can see Russia from my house"... idiots on the left pretended THAT was the actual comment from Palin.

With regards to Revere, because most of us hadn't ever heard that tidbit, most assumed it was false. Yet again, it turned out to be true. Yet again, idiots on the left ran around calling her an idiot and were mocking her. Yet again, there are still idiots on the left who mock her for BOTH comments.... which simply makes idiots like you appear quite retarded.

Did she say that 'being able to see Russia from Alaska qualifies me to be POTUS'???? Or is that perhaps just MORE bullshit from you?

ROD said that Palin's claim to foreign policy expertise by virtue of Russia's visibility from Alaska is farcical, but don't let that stop you.

she was absolutely wrong on the revere quote....there were no bells, no shots fired, and his ride did not consist of warning the british

you're swallowing koolaid on that one, but nice dune burn

http://bostonherald.com/news/us_politics/view.bg?articleid=1343353

In fact, Revere’s own account of the ride in a 1798 letter seems to back up Palin’s claim. Revere describes how after his capture by British officers, he warned them “there would be five hundred Americans there in a short time for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.”

Boston University history professor Brendan McConville said, “Basically when Paul Revere was stopped by the British, he did say to them, ‘Look, there is a mobilization going on that you’ll be confronting,’ and the British are aware as they’re marching down the countryside, they hear church bells ringing — she was right about that — and warning shots being fired. That’s accurate.”

It's accurate that bells were used as signals, but Paul Revere didn't ring them and the bells were not warnings to the Brtis as Palin said. And it's accurate that Paul Revere warned the British about the mobilization efforts after he was captured, but he didn't do that on his famous ride as Plain claimed. And it's true that warning shots were fired, but Paul Revere didn't sent them as he was Palin claimed.

This nonsense about Palin being right because she was kinda sorta in the ballpark is silly (see also, "Well, John Wayne was from another town in Iowa that begins with 'W'"). It's like claiming that Obama was correct that there are 57 states because the real number is in the 50s.
