$7.25 an hour is not a living wage (Well Duh?!!)

If it is a bluff, why have wages dropped annually since the 1970s in relation to production? People have been replaced by technology, and the motivation to replace workers with technology is due increased labor costs bad efficiencies. If minimum wage went to $15 dollars per hour, yin will be pushing buttons at the drive through to order as one example of adapting to non-organic wage increases.

Many things can and have been automated, but I think they're reached the saturation point. When interacting with humans, machines will simply not do in all instances.

You know who can be replaced with a robot? a do-nothing human lump board member.

I concur; I hear the humming of your circuit board loud and clear. Automatic, like anything else, will continue to advance as the technology and demand is there.

Go ahead, try to have a completely nonhuman restaurant. Nobody will want to eat there. I challenge you to do it.

Oh it won't be completely non human. You'll have a manager and a couple maintenance guys (or girls).THEY will command a better than minimum wage salary. But your unskilled labor? Robots.

Because some things have been automated doesn't mean everything will be automated. Do you know what thinking is?

I'm going out on a limb here and state that thinking would be the ability to understand no one mentioned everything will be automated, or that everything could be automated.

Who said completely nonhuman.
Someone will still manage the registers and someone will have to load the automated machines; but if you think it's not a possibility, then you're delusional.

I just posted an article about them in this very thread. They're buying 6000 of them starting next year.

All someone has to do is make sure the machine is loaded with the hamburgers, lettuce, onions, condiments, buns, and such.
The person taking the order punches in what the customer wants and it's relayed to the processor. The machine makes the order, exactly the way the order read and will probably bag it as well.
Fires the same way. Just need someone to make sure the hopper stays full.

What a bone head.

You do realize that robots and computers may be able to do specific functions better than humans, but they can't problem solve as well as us correct? What will happen when the fat lady with 6 fat kids want a 20 pc nuggest and a 8 large fries, wait a 5 piece fries with, wait, what, kids shut up, a large soda, a large f-what do you want Bobby!, A kids meal. And a coke.

You can try to relate this to whatever you want but robots do what they are told to do. Humans are inconsistent kiddo. Welcome to Earth.

What makes you think that they still won't have people at the register?

Agreed and they will also move toward computer kiosks for people to place their orders. The turnaround will be phenomenal. Poor unions thought they had a nice stash of cash coming their way. Now technology will fuck them.

Looks like those poor McDonalds workers will be shit out of luck.

BTW, people shouldn't eat fast food. It is bad for you. We should ban it in the name of health care.

Problem solving? At the register at McDonalds? Are you fucking serious? Problem solving? These fuckers can't figure out change without a machine to tell them. And what is a 5 piece fries? Trust me, these jobs are history. It is only a matter of time. Lefties like you will force the hands of business owners to automate.

They always wrestle with automating vs humans, but many times opt for humans. Idiot, economic illiterate lefties like you will force their hands and the people you think you are helping will only get fucked even more. Of course you won't ever consider that your leftist ideology is to blame. You will employ your security blanket called cognitive dissonance and blame "the rich" for wanting to preserve "their profits". Don't they know that they are to be slaves to YOUR whims and that their profits that they risked their capital, blood, sweat and tears for is YOURS. It doesn't matter that you did absolutely nothing, you somehow think you are ENTITLED to their wealth.

You could automate the front counter tomorrow. The dumb shits can't speak english and always fuck up the orders. They will be automated.
