Yes, it is a problem. If people refuse to listen to the 'other side' then we simply get ever increasing hostility and that leads to bigger problems. It also makes it very hard to get any of the actual problems facing the country resolved. The politicians and media want us to be that way. Because then they maintain power and always have 'the other side' to blame.
