I went to a private school for ten years. I had to switch to public school. I was two years ahead of every other student. Public school sucks. I got my GED and said goodbye. I wasn't about to waste two years learning stuff I'd already learned.

Only if there is a viable alternative with approved "standards" that will allow them to obtain "Race to the Top" grants and funding. Since those grants are linked to approved standards and there really is no viable alternative approved standards schools who desperately need funding are inextricably entwined with the "Common Core" standards. Even Bush's NCLB entwines Common Core as it requires/d approved standards and that is a very short list of one.
So, while the Federal government didn't create Common Core it certainly incentivized its adoption and continues to incentivize the same.
Math is math. CC is a standard that is all. Poorly written questions are another issue.
You were the one making the claims, I just asked for you to explain them to me.
