'A child born today will grow up with no conception of privacy at all'

supposed.....hmmmmmmm.

yes even you know its not.

I am NOT pro spying fool.

get your head straight.

Im merely telling the fucking truth that the internets will NEVER be secure.

and it was not a talking point of anyone huh clown.

You looked and found out I was right huh.

admit your mistake.

don't act like a right wing fool and just lie about it

You are merely repeating stupid nonsense. I did not look at all.

It is supposed to be secure except the NSA paid RSA to build them a backdoor which RSA did not disclose. It was not at all necessary for them to build a backdoor.

and then someone bashes the windows in

Which is a crime or would clearly violate the fourth if done by an agent of the state without a warrant. But yes the metaphor is apt. Our homes can not be absolutely secured. That does not mean they are open to the public. If I take action to secure my data and the government or anyone else goes to great efforts to route around my locked doors then they have invaded my privacy.

why cant some of you figure out when you make a mistake you fair far better when you admit the mistake and face the real truth instead of being unable to admit you were wrong.

why is that one so hard for a certain faction of you to learn?

It was not a talking point huh

why keep lying?

DON'T FUCKING CARE. I have heard your same point many times over the years. It usually comes from some old idiot that knows jack shit about technology and is looking for a convenient way to ignore the privacy of others.

coming in your unlocked door without permission is a crime silly.

it is not secure and will never be so.

You have not proven anyone made a mistake. I have heard your point before. The point is wrong. I will focus on proving that rather than proving I have heard it before.

actually, it could be if we weren't required by law to provide a decryption key to the government for any encryption program we use. If someone smart enough were to write a new encryption program, they must provide the code and key to the feds. otherwise, the internet could be very secure.

GNuPG with 2048 bit encryption is pretty near unbreakable.

What??? Yes, it's a crime. But if we lock the door we consider our home secured. Secure does not mean it absolutely impenetrable.

It's funny how you claim the right walks in lockstep and the left is so diverse yet when people on the right disagree with each other you think it's a sign they hate each other and when someone on the left disagrees with you you think it's a sign they are a fake Democrat.

So transparent.

Not transparent; she's so dumb.

this is how we have failed as a free society. people like you believe that ONLY government is capable of protecting the people. the founders believed a completely different thing, that we the people are both capable and responsible for our own safety. terrorists would not be able to fly planes in to buildings if we the people were not prohibited from providing for our own protection.

Wrong again Dr. Paranoid; if you think individuals can prevent dictators like Hitler from taking over Europe or terrorists from flying planes into buildings, you just might be a an idiot.

I'm amused by the equally dimwitted premise that armed civilians can overcome trained paramilitary terrorists on airplanes; yeah, we can have a good old fashioned shoot out at the OK corral at 40,000 feet.

Dunce

you ARE historically clueless and paranoid by believing that only the government is capable of protecting us from evil. that makes you a BIG government statist.

And you're not much smarter than an earthworm thinking armed citizens can prevent terrorism, and dictators or despots stripping you of your liberties. Just out of curiosity; how old are you?

Nothing placed in public internet forums or web sites are secure and for every attempt at encryption there will be a way to break it. Only clueless dimwits can believe otherwise. No one is required to provide the Feds with their encryptions you paranoid dunce.

but the feds still have the key

Microsoft Plans to Use Stronger 2,048-bit Encryption Keys

In response to illegal US Government Internet spying, Microsoft will be encrypting all traffic through its servers by the end of 2014. In response to illegal US Government Internet spying, Microsoft will be encrypting all traffic through its servers by the end of 2014.Brad Smith, Microsoft’s general counsel, wrote in the company blog Wednesday that Microsoft and its customers are aware of the US Government’s “persistent” spying and the National Security Agency’s (NSA) aggressive surveillance of the internet. Microsoft and its customers share the same concerns about this threat and consider it as intimidating as sophisticated malware and cyber attacks. Apparently, Google and Yahoo have also been the target of NSA snooping. They too are stepping up their efforts to thwart this threat.

Improving encryption, source code transparency and legal protections are some of the steps the companies are making to put this intruding faction of the government back in its proper place in the coming year. The NSA’s blatant disregard for the law will not be tolerated. Hackers working for foreign governments and coordinating cyber-attacks have now become an all too real threat in light of this breach in security.

The fact that it was our own government and that we do not know what the purpose of the breach was, does not diminish the fact that it could have been used for intents that are more devious and obvious in nature. Smith writes, “Indeed, government snooping potentially now constitutes an ‘advanced persistent threat,’ alongside sophisticated malware and cyber attacks.”

Former NSA contractor Edward Snowden said the NSA used a program called “Muscular” to intercept unencrypted Internet traffic traveling through Microsoft servers. He said that three Internet giants, Microsoft, Google and Yahoo were the targets of the espionage. The NSA secretly collected private user data from the companies and their customers for purposes unknown to him. The breaches in security involved weak encryptions between data centers and servers in softwares such as Windows Azure, SkyDrive, Outlook.com and Office 365, Smith said.

“We all want to live in a world that is safe and secure, but we also want to live in a country that is protected by the Constitution. We want to ensure that important questions about government access are decided by courts rather than dictated by technological might,” Smith wrote in response to this critical matter in the Official Microsoft Blog.

The threats weaken confidence from top to bottom in the security and privacy of internet communications. The company takes the threat of government spying and snooping just as seriously as it takes threats from sophisticated malware and cyber-attacks. By the end of 2014, Microsoft is going to give its system a complete overhaul and will be encrypting all online traffic, concluded Smith.

On ANY electronic device you will have in the future you are in public.

there is NO way to secure them folks and this is the new world.

pretend all you want that its not true

Translation:

We can't bother to try to get the government to stay within the powers granted it by the constitution, just get used to infringement and stuff your complaints! Big Government is only looking out for you!

Now can you say that into this flower on my lapel?

you watch too many movies. i'm 47 years old, former active duty marine corps.

maybe you need to read the law a bit more before looking like an idiot. ANY commmercial encryption program MUST provide the feds with the key. If I were to write my own and market it, I would have to provide the feds with the key.
