A couple questions for those against the health care bill..

John Edwards did not do Medical Malpractice, he did Personal Injury law.

I did some research, I was wrong you were right... Except that I do not feel the medmal cases he tried were frivilous, nor do I feel the verdicts were excessive.

1) Are you against any and all healthcare reform?

2) What SPECIFICALLY are you against in the current bill? (other than allowing the Democrats to pass anything)

1.) No. I would like to see insurance companies be able to do business across state lines, like auto and life insurance. I believe this would dramatically reduce the overall cost of health insurance, just as it dramatically reduced the cost of auto insurance when they did the same thing there. I would also like to see Tort Reform, and I don't give a fuck how many more times you post the Democrat talking point about how this would not reduce cost. Only a fucking idiot believes it would not reduce cost of health care insurance and health care itself. I would like to see reforms in the area of portability, being able to keep the insurance you have, once you have it, regardless of whether you change jobs. I think one of the biggest problems Americans have with health insurance, is when they change jobs, they lose their coverage and have to generally wait 90 days for the new insurance to kick in. I would also like to see more options available for health savings accounts, and these should remain tax-free. I am okay with some reform on 'preexisting conditions' but this should not be a blanket requirement for all insurance all the time. Perhaps a compromise would be, some preexisting conditions have to be covered, but insurance companies reserve the right to limit the amount and charge extra for providing it.

2.) There is no "current bill." There is the house bill, which the senate won't pass, and there is the senate bill, which the house won't pass, and there is Obama's pontifications, which aren't even written in a bill yet. None of these are acceptable because they are all chock full of mandates and requirements, and a bunch of open-ended "we'll determine that later" provisions, which is a liberal slight of hand technique, designed to get something passed into law, then establish the actual law at a later date, when no one is looking. All the current legislation proposes full coverage on all preexisting conditions, and that just goes way too far. Also, I do not favor any public option or taxpayer dollars being used to fund abortion.

I don't have a problem with Democrats passing things, I wish they would pass something, but this requires bipartisanship, which they don't seem to have. Plus, they have not really tried to pass anything except health care reforms that 85% of America doesn't want. Even after being told this repeatedly by the polls, through emails, letters and phone calls, protest rallies on the steps of the capitol, and at the ballot box in Massachusetts, they have the unmitigated gall to insist they plan to 'reconcile' it into law against the will of the people. They are not interested in working with Republicans, and even when the President invites Republicans to the White House to talk about it, he does all the talking, and it's mostly in the tone of a lecture and brow beating, followed by the insistence the Democrats are going to pass this monstrosity regardless.

This pisses me off more than anything. Obama and his band of pompous assholes couldn't care less that a majority of America does not want this health care reform in its present state passed. They are going to push however hard they can to attempt to get their way and the citizens of this country be damned.

Look to the demise of Argentina and what led to it. You will see how Obama and his cohorts are pushing for the same kind of governmental take-over and we can bet our boots we likely will get a similar result.

What pisses me off more than anything, is the "sugar won't melt in our mouth" attitude by liberals like Jarhead, who try to convince people that Republicans don't want to pass something just because the Democrats favor it. How many times have they obfuscated with Republicans for that very reason? Can you say HYPOCRITES?

But furthermore, even in this debate about health care reform... Why in the hell would Democrats be so adamantly opposed to the Republican proposals for interstate commerce of health insurance? I mean, fundamentally, what is the big deal? Why are they opposed to allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines? It certainly doesn't seem like it would "hurt" the quality, affordability, or availability of health care in America! Why couldn't they say... okay 'pubs, we'll give you that, what are you going to concede to us? You know, be BIpartisan? Like they CLAIMED they wanted to do when elected to power. No... Instead, we get Nancy and Harry insisting that Republicans shut the fuck up and sit down, they won the election, and they will pass whatever the hell they want to pass, and they will stomp their feet until they get it!

I tell ya... I wish someone like a Jeff Sessions would stand up in Congress and DEMAND that we put the whole damn thing to a vote RIGHT FUCKING NOW! No more talk, no more gyrating, let's have the votes TODAY! We either pass the wildly unpopular load of horse shit foist on us by these idiots, or we end this debate for the next 3 years and move on! I'm tired of it, I am sick of hearing the liberals regurgitate the same tired liberal talking points, they aren't changing anyone's mind on this, they aren't coming anywhere near close to getting America on board with this shit, and the time to call their bluff is NOW! Force their hand, make them cast the vote and commit political suicide if that's what they want to do, and let's get on with it!

85% really?

The only issue in Massachusetts was health care?

So you cant point to anything specific other than public option and abortion?

85% my ass!

Yes, 85%... REALLY!

Yes, it was the only issue!

Wrong... learn how to read!

False...

Do you have a cite on your 85% theory, or did you just pull that out of your wide open shitty asshole?

can it be amended to permit insurance companies to offer plans with higher deductibles and lower coverage plans than that dictated by the bill?......I and my wife are close to retirement..I don't need maternity coverage or dental care for children......

LOL....so you are suggesting that defensive medicine practices are NOT taking place?

Sure they are, and some defensive medicine is good for the consumer. Now cite me an example of a frivilous medical malpractive case...? Can you ?

There have been numerous polls on the subject, I don't need to post a "cite" for it, the lack of Congressional passage of a bill, in spite of a super-majority Democrat Congress, should tell you this is a fact. The Senate seat of one Edward Theodore Kennedy to a Republican who ran on the promise to oppose this, should be the confirmation. I can't help that you are too stupid to grasp reality, and I doubt any "cite" I could post, would change your mental state.

back in the 80s I represented a client in a wrongful circumcision case.....we took a settlement of $5000.......

Ive seen numerous polls, all with something close to 50/50, depending on the wording of the question... I have never, ever seen anything with an 85%...

You constantly pull shit out of your ass to promote your whacked world view.

Well, you do the same... Why hold Dixie (who is correct here, btw) to a higher standard than yourself?
