Fascism is national socialism. What we generally see as being pushed is international socialism. Some of the bad habits of fascism, such as the violence of Orwellian-named Antifa, or the pervasiveness of cancel culture, are additional features which draw comparisons.

Now, if you want to have a discussion comparing international socialism to Marxism (or national socialism to Marxism), that's fine. The finest form of intellectual flattery is to compare one's own ideology to Marxism. You always end-up looking and feeling better (and MUCH more intelligent). As with other often abused/misused terms, fascism is always alleged when one group is appears to be misbehaving (engaging in violence, intimidation, etc.).

I am sure you've heard of the horseshoe theory. Both the left and right can go so far that both blend together.

You claimed that Democrats are "closer to socialism", whatever that means. That would imply that Republicans are closer to laissez faire Capitalism.

You claimed that Republicans resemble a socialist ideology (fascism). I pointed out that Dems are actually much closer to a socialist ideology (internationalism vis-a-vis its progressivism).

The horseshoe theory is only accurate when it comes to methods of oppression and implementation of power. Far left ideologies are typically totalitarian, while far right ideologies are typically authoritarian (with the exception of theocracy). This leads to some very different societies. The best examples today are Xi Xinping's totalitarian China and Vladimir Putin's authoritarian Russia.

They differ on how they physically order society once they are in power. That is because they are still very different ideologies. What they have in common is how they deal with enemies and perceived threats.

Republicans didn't invent SS. They do concern themselves with trying to make it work.

Republicans agree with Tucker and Piers about Meghan Markle. You called those two fascists for sharing those views.
