A Military Conscription for Iraq

So their kids get an out then? They "cheerled" us into "war" by voting for an unconstitutional "authorization" but they get an out because their daddy is a D? I also note that women are excused for no apparent reason.

I noticed that too. But it keeps me at the bottom of the list, so I was more than willing to let it slide :p As for the D keeping them safe, if a D gave authorization, they're higher on the list either way.

In theory that works.

I think any draftee should have the right to apply for a non combat position. Much of the military is support positions.

After all we could replace a lot of the military contractors with draftees not able to handle combat for one reason or another.
