The city voted to rename 44 schools honoring the trio and other “racist” historical figures, it was revealed Wednesday — drawing a raft of criticism over the latest dose of cancel culture.

In a controversial move, the city’s board of education voted 6-1 Monday to scrap the namesakes in light of anti-racism protests that swept the nation last year, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Honestly, this wouldn't bother me at all if they changed those names.

I'm a huge football fan, and I live in Oregon. Oregon vs. Oregon State has been called "The Civil War" for 130 years. This year, they ended that name, principally because it's evocative of race wars, which aren't particularly good fodder for football rivalries. But mostly, it didn't make sense. Oregon never fought in the Civil War. Not a single battle happened west of Texas. I'm all for change when it's called for.
