Going mask-less threatens no one, especially children, except for those who have not contracted the disease and recovered or gotten a vaccine. And even in those cases, we are learning there isn't a "perfect" protection.

no, you are wrong. the founding fathers were literate. they did not just add superfluous words to amendments. the right to own and bear arms, arms means all weapons of war, is reserved for those who are in a well-regulated militia. which were necessary at that time. the right to own guns was a given, just like the right to own a dining room table, but it also means they are not a constitutional right, just a logical right to defend yourself with a weapon, at that time not more lethal than a sword. if you really believe private citizens have the right to own shoulder fired ground to air missiles and rocket grenade launchers and fully operational tanks and assault weapons with no restrictions, then you are goofy as hell. and those are all "arms."

Those school shootings are not about legal ownership of guns or how many LEGAL owners have. It is about the sad reality that we don't treat or deal with mental illness or threats when they are made.

Getting rid of all our LEGALLY owned guns makes NO one safer. :palm:

That is a pile of leftist bile. The vast majority of anti-abortion voters are women. No one is saying you cannot have an abortion. Just not after a certain amount of time. It also speaks to personal responsibility. In today's world with all the anti-pregnant tools are our disposal, there's no reason to use abortion as a means of birth control.

This isn't a Constitutional issue. It was wrongly decided decades ago. This is a states rights issue. Time to correct a very divisive wrong.

A Minnesotan who recently travelled to New York City is the first case of the omicron coronavirus variant detected in the state.

The person who tested positive for the new variant is an adult man from Hennepin County. The man was fully vaccinated, receiving two doses of coronavirus vaccine more than six months ago, and a booster in early November.

“This news is concerning, but it is not a surprise,” Gov. Tim Walz said in a statement. “We know that this virus is highly infectious and moves quickly throughout the world. Minnesotans know what to do to keep each other safe now — get the vaccine, get tested, wear a mask indoors, and get a booster.”

Jan Malcolm, state health commissioner, said the presence of the variant was quickly identified by the state’s nation-leading variant surveillance program. On Wednesday, Malcolm said the arrival of the new strain in Minnesota was inevitable and quick detection was important.


The person tested positive Nov. 24 after experiencing mild symptoms two days before. That means the man was infected with omicron prior to health officials in South Africa announced the new variant of concern was found there.
