You're just making my point for me that those who don't share your right wing views are, from your perspective, liberals. That is really only because your not unsing "liberal' by it's political science definition but rather as a pejorative. By any standard of political science Bill Clinton is and was a political moderate. It was when he co-opted some of the agenda of southern conservatives that he earned their overloving hatred. Bill Clinton advocated and implemented welfare reform. Hardly the mark of a social welfare state liberal. He also supported gun control rights, again hardly the mark of a socical welfare state liberal. He also supported the death penalty and implemented it as a punishement at the Federal Level. Certain cocaine crime lords and domestic terorist Tim McViegh were convicted and sentenced to death under the federal death penatly guidelines Clinton implemented (again hardly the mark of a bleeding heart far left liberal). Let's not also forget Clinton's support and implementation of Free Trade Treaties such as NAFT, which again, is hardly the sign of a social welfare state liberal. So your argument about Clinton does not hold up to the light of day based upon the facts. Your argument is an ideolgocical argument and makes the false assumption that if ones motives are not ideologicaly based, that one does not have deep seated convictions. That's a plain laughable notion.
Nope, I'll hold by my guns. Calling Obama "The Messiah" is right wing code for an uppity niger. Who are you kidding?
and uh you voted for Bush? The most incompetent person to sit in the White House since Warren G. Harding....can you say "I have no credibility!"? LOLI've always considered it code for 'how stupid can the left actually BE"......
Un huh, well son, we have a saying where I come from. "Don't piss up wind and tell me it's raining."You're delusional.
And who are all these people fawning over Obama? Are we forgetting that Obama ran, succesfully I might add, as a moderate? Where are all these great liberal changes he promised? I'd like to see where he promised them?I hate to say this, but I agree with Asshat on this. This is not about his being black. This is about all the fawning over Obama in the election cycle. This also not to state that ALL blacks/dems/liberals felt or acted this way. But there was most certainly a reverential attitude towards Obama. I think that has certainly fallen off as the partisans who felt this way have removed their blinders and awoken to reality.
I have called him both "the One" and "the Messiah" to mock those who thought Obama was going to bring all this "change" and 'bring back the FDR/LBJ type of liberal new deal programs' and 'make the world love and respect us again' blah blah blah.... It was infatuation to an obnoxious degree.
Un huh, well son, we have a saying where I come from. "Don't piss up wind and tell me it's raining."
You can deny the racial codel language all you want to but your not kidding anyone but your self.

I mean have you forgotten how George W. Bush stated that he was called by a higher power to run for President? Now who was the messia and who was fawning?
I'm sorry, I've been around to long to buy that shit and you're just simply not kidding me about the racial code language being used by the far right, such as, calling Obama "The Messiah". You're argument is weak.

You are severely lacking in long term memory if you can't recall the lefts adulation with Obama during the election cycle.
.........
I'd find this 'insulting' if I didn't believe that BAC's feelings that the Republicans should follow Palin, because she's the considered inverse of Obama, whom BAC holds in about the same regard as Palin. It occurs to me that I need to make the distinction between conservatives and the right-wing. In my opinion, conservatives are every bit as intelligent, thoughtful, and concerned about this nation as anyone else on this board or in this country. They are capable of presenting their ideas and perspectives in a thoughtful and respectful manner. They are capable of reaching consensus and being respectful of divergent opinion.
There are several real conservatives here who offer opinion that should be listened to and digested .. even if in the end I still disagree. One of my civil rights heros is coinservative Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois .. who distanced himself from racist lunatics and led republicans to signing historic civil rights legislation.
The problem for the real conservatives here and throughout the greater society is that they've aligned themselves with the far-right .. who are correctly percieved to be just a bunch of lunatics who scream at everything they don't have the capacity to understand. Conservatives have allowed the far-right to take over their party and take over the discourse coming from the right.
The better way forward .. dump the lunatics and take your party back.
Surprisingly, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of all people, seems to be getting this message.
Republican: anti-Obama birthers 'crazy'
Sen. Lindsey Graham , the Republican senator from South Carolina who helped Sen. John McCain of Arizona campaign for president, has a suggestion for some of the more radical elements of his own party challenging President Barack Obama:
"I'm here to tell you that those who think the president was not born in Hawaii are crazy," Graham said at a "First Draft of History'' conference sponsored by The Atlantic, The Aspen Institute and the Newseum in Washington.
He also had a word for FOX News Channel's Glenn Beck:
"Cynic.''
Graham "offered unusually blunt assessments of the fringe elements of his party and conservative media,'' the Huffington Post's Sam Stein notes.
"Only in America can you make that much money crying," Graham said today of Beck.
"Glenn Beck is not aligned with any party,'' he said. "He is aligned with cynicism and there has always been a market for cynics. But we became a great nation not because we are a nation of cynics. We became a great nation because we are a nation of believers."

Dump the lunatics and racists .. yes, you know they are there .. and take your party back .. and you'll attract a better core constituency.
There are genuine issues to challenge Obama on .. but they don't get heard over the screaming from your lunatic fringe.
America needs sane voices an it needs real debate and discussion on how we go forward and how we deal with global challenges. America needs sane conservatives.
Let the lunatics go off and create the Palin Party .. get your self-respect back.
Just about every caption and premise you've posted IS ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT.
Been there, done that.....kids were singing Bush's praises for Katrina despite his utter failure. Where was your faux rage when that was going on?
and uh you voted for Bush? The most incompetent person to sit in the White House since Warren G. Harding....
Un huh, well son, we have a saying where I come from. "Don't piss up wind and tell me it's raining."

Delicious irony....See, here in the north, encouraging kids to do things like learn, get along, study and ultimately graduate is considered a good thing. But feel free to have your kids sing about shooting bambi, burning crosses and wrestling alligators. ...
I think it is quite funny when Dems/left/liberals try to paint everything as racism.
Please. The left was fawning all over Obama throughout the election campaign. To pretend otherwise is simply ridiculous. THAT is why he was dubbed "the Saint" "The Messiah" and "The One". Because he was going to fix everything and the world was going to be happy happy joy joy.... all the time. It was obnoxious to the billionth degree.
