A tea party greets Obama in San Francisco

Who the fuck cares what you think I sound like ... Don't like my sound .. put me on ignore .. don't read my posts .. who gives a fuck?

The bottom line is exactly as I stated it.

Nothing was accomplished, no recognition given to it, hardly noticed.

.. but don't let me step on your parade.

The teabaggers aren't necessarily dumb for protesting. They are dumb for having a slogan of "taxed enough already," when taxes this year have actually BEEN CUT.

That's why they're dumb...

If he wants to do something meaningful... call me when he and the Dem Congress makes the current tax brackets permanent (or at least the bottom four). Because otherwise, I think the people should be protesting now. You don't protest AFTER the tax cuts expire. You start well before it. Pretending that the $400 for individuals and $800 for families is any sort of meaningful tax cut is what is dumb. Especially given the fact that the current brackets are far more favorable to the low income families than what will be in place should he and Congress allow the brackets to revert back to the 2000 levels.

No what's dumb is someone like you who swallows the kool aid that taxes have been lowered...his so called middle class cut (giving unearned income is not a tax cut) is on the chopping block as we post! The protests have been agaist the taxation that HAS TO HAPPEN to pay for all the spending. When Bush's tax cuts expire will be the first installment with more to come.

Oh brother! Let's just leave this one alone.

One of the cornerstones of Obama's promises on taxes during the campaign was not letting the Bush cuts expire for anyone under $250K, which I'd wager is the vast majority of the protesters.

If he breaks this promise, he's doomed, just like Bush Sr. was....

By that standard.... are all the war protesters dumb as hell and desperate as fuck as well?

For what have they accomplished? As far as I can see... both wars are still on going. One is looking to be ramped up.

I beg to differ.

Protests against the Iraq War effectively elected Obama as president .. AND, played a major role in role reversal in Iraq that put the brakes to further plans by the Bush Administration.

I'm sure I don't have to talk about Vietnam and the effect of protests against that bullshit. The American people ended the Vietnam War .. not politicians.

Protests against the Afghanistan War haven't ramped up yet .. but when they do, there is NO DOUBT that they will be heard AND that they WILL have an effect on policy.

Declaring a few unnoticed teabaggers as cause for any celebration or pats on the back IS dumb as fuck.

which is why the $400/800 is meaningless if he doesn't. People protesting taxes will do what??? Keep it in the discussion so that the Dems don't 'forget'???

How hard is it to pass this legislation? Just make it straightforward... right NOW....

Simple bill... The 10%, 15%, 25% and 28% tax brackets will remain intact with a standard COLA.

Done.

Yet... crickets from Congress on the issue... same for Obama

See posts 9-14.

I already provided evidence and proved her wrong.

You did no such thing. You simply stated... 'anyone can rent transportation and drive there'.

That is not evidence that they DID. You stated they were from out of town. THAT is what you would need to provide evidence for.

Did I state they were from out of town?

I simply stated that "any bunch of nutbars" could rent a bus and drive in.

I never stated that THIS PARTICULAR group did that.

1) Vietnam has NOTHING to do with the Iraq War protesters.

2) The Iraq war protesters had NO effect on the strategy taken in Iraq. NONE. In the face of the protests, the surge of troops occured. They ESCALATED the war when the protesters wanted a withdrawal. Pretending that is a success for the protesters is ABSURD. They did nothing to change the strategy. The current withdrawal schedule is due to the SURGE... not the protesters. So tell us... what effect on policy did the Iraq protesters have in your fantasy world?

3) If they were unnoticed protesters.... then how would we know to be discussing them?

4) Pretending the Iraq protesters had any effect on the Iraq war strategy is dumb as fuck.... and we see what hypocrites most of them are today as for the most part they are no longer out protesting. (groups like Code Pink are the exception to that rule)

5) The Afghan war protesters 'are coming'???? The war has been on going for over 8 years.... what the fuck is taking them so long?

Meme stated

"one part of the tea party is pointing out the communist in the white house...
and that this protest was in the commie run city of San Francisco says a lot I think..."

You followed up with...

"It sure does say alot!

It says that any bunch of Fringe RightWing nutbars can charter some buses and drive it into San Francisco."

Now you are trying to state that you didn't state the protesters came from out of town?

Meme implied that the protesters came from San Fran. you in turn implied they bussed themselves in from out of town. To pretend otherwise is just sad on your part. Especially when you followed the above up with a challenge to Meme to 'prove you wrong' about their being from out of town.

This being America, you are of course allowed to read anything you like into meme's post, but I must point out that nowhere in her first post does she establish that the protesters are locals.

meme wrote: "one part of the tea party is pointing out the communist in the white house...

NOPE...nowhere in those two sentences does she establish that the protesters are locals.

As for you reading something into my post that wasn't there? Not my problem.

I stated that ANY bunch could charter buses and drive them into SF. I never specifically referred to this group.

:

Wow, what a complete liar you are.

It is not 'reading into' your post or Meme's on my part. YOU are the one that challenged Meme to prove they were 'locals'... which meant YOU also thought that is what Meme was implying as well. In asking for that proof, you are most certainly stating that you think this particular group was from out of town. Otherwise why would you have asked for that proof???

1) Vietnam has NOTHING to do with the Iraq War protesters.

Never said it did .. simply demonstrates effective protesting.

You supported that idiotic war, thus, it ain't like I expect you to understand much of anything on this subject.

A. The protests galvanized the left into a antiwar movement .. the same movement that swept Obama into office .. and they were the catalysts for the formation of many liberal groups, such as Move-On.

B. The protests not only put pressure of democratic politicians, they also informed the public with information that was not coming from MSM.

C. The large and vocal protests were a clear demonstration of how large the opposition to the war actually was .. not just in the polling .. and it gave voice to many military families that opposed the war.

3) If they were unnoticed protesters.... then how would we know to be discussing them?

Simple .. because morons created a thread about it.

4) Pretending the Iraq protesters had any effect on the Iraq war strategy is dumb as fuck.... and we see what hypocrites most of them are today as for the most part they are no longer out protesting. (groups like Code Pink are the exception to that rule)

As previously stated, you supported the war, thus, I don't really care that you don't understand .. and it is your argument that those who stood against the Iraq War are hypocrites that is dumb as fuck. I stood against the Iraq War and I stand against this one .. and I'm not alone.

5) The Afghan war protesters 'are coming'???? The war has been on going for over 8 years.... what the fuck is taking them so long?

What is taking them so long is ascertaining where Obama stands on this war. Now that many have discovered that he's not much different than Bush on war ...

I give you this dumb as fuck statement ... "The Afghan war protesters 'are coming'????"

Yeah dummy, they're not only coming, they've been on-going since we invaded .. but you wouldn't know that because you're just a partisan. If you didn't see it on Fox then it can't be true, eh?
