Maybe the third time will be the charm. Cheney worked against those folks how specifically?
All you guys waiting for another stupid post ?
Yes?
OK, TCL....post something...
For the second time: Read what he voted on and what he supported (as supplied), read the testimonies of Peeno and Potter. Cause and Effect, Southie....logical conclusion. Or are you going to play the same assinine game as your buddy Dixie, were unless there's a mea culpa statement, the end results and who caused them don't exist? You've always demonstrated your stubborn willful ignorance...don't act fucking stupid as well.
I noticed you shut up real quick when I schooled you on your BS ploy about who employs him. And you don't DARE deal with the FACTS put out by Peeno and Potter. See Southie, the whole POINT HERE is that Cheney advocates against reform of a system were people are NOT being given a fair shake for the PROVISIONS stated by the insurance companies they (privately or through their employment) are NOT getting....yet Cheney benefits from the taxpayers paying for his healthcare...even after he becomes a private citizen. Maybe YOU like being played for a chump, but the rest of America doesn't, and is fast waking up to that fact.
Do you want to be compared to a bigoted moron like Dweebway? Come on Christie, grow a thick skin and take the high road. Cheney's politics are not to popular with me either but I don't wish the man ill.
Olbermann? Is that you?Good grief, it was a bad joke that I thought nobody would take seriously. For the record:
I DO NOT really believe cheney's a vampire.
I DO NOT really believe he should be killed by any means.
What I DO believe is that cheney is evil personified and will receive divine retribution for his unholy actions, and am perfectly content with leaving his fate in the hands of the Almighty.
Olbermann? Is that you?
There's nothing like laughing at Olbermann and his "God help you..." quote. Every time I hear it I laugh again. Bad acting helps make it even more funny.
We don't have cable so I'm unfamiliar with Olbermann's shtick.
Bummer. Well, they sometimes play it on Glenn Beck's radio show, that particular clip is absolutely hilarious. I wouldn't suggest listening to the show for the clip though, you'd have to listen to too much and he might cry at you.We don't have cable so I'm unfamiliar with Olbermann's shtick.
Is that legal not to have cable? How do you watch Monday Night Football?
I can only watch evening games that come on network.
LOL, so many people around here don't have cable. Some can't afford it but more of them absolutely refuse to pay for TV. Whatever floats your boat I guess.
Yeah, not trying to judge at all. I live in a very urban area and just haven't really run across too many people who don't have it. I pay for it because of ESPN and college football if not I wouldn't get it.
I never had cable (actually satellite TV since cable isn't available to us hicks) until I was 25. I got it for a while and let it go. I pay for it now because after the switch from analog to digital signal I would get a sum total of 1....that's right, 1 "local channel." This opposed to 7 before the switch. I do like the added benefit of ESPN and some hunting and fishing networks....but I can afford the $70 or so a month.....for...for...(my dad is gasping now)...television.![]()
My aunt lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere Ohio surrounded by a bunch of Amish folk and she doesn't have cable. We always get into when I visit and ask how she can survive in such an environment. She starts ripping on me for being a city boy. Always a good time.![]()
OIC, the familiar patter emerges. You make an accusation an post a link or youtube for "proof", then expect me to find it.![]()
Managed Care
At the end of clip the narrator asks.....How did we get there ? Who invented the system ? How did this all begin ? Where did the HMO's start ?
Governments first excursion into socialism. The HMO concept was promoted by the Nixon Administration as a fix to rising health care costs and set in law as the Health Maintenance Organization Act of 1973. As defined in the act, a federally qualified HMO would in exchange for a subscriber fee (premium) allow members access to a panel of employed physicians or a network of doctors and facilities including hospitals. In return the HMO received mandated market access and could receive federal development funds.
HMO Act of 1973....Sponsored by none other than Teddy Kennedy...
16 Co-sponsors...14 of them Democrats....
Congressional make-up
Senate.. 57-42...... Dem. majority
House...237 - 183... Dem. majority
And thats how we got there...
Good grief, it was a bad joke that I thought nobody would take seriously. For the record:
