Good Samaritans carry North Carolina WWII vet to wife's grave

Two good Samaritans helped an elderly military veteran from North Carolina pay respects to his late wife, Alma, who died in 2007.
George Boone, 96, went to visit his wife's grave at Arlington National Cemetery, but his son forgot to bring his wheel chair.
However, two volunteers stepped in and carried Boone to the grave and held him for 10 minutes.
According to Boone's son, one volunteer then insisted he carry the veteran by himself back to the car.
Boone was held as a prisoner of war after his plane was shot down during World War II.
His son said the act of kindness from the two volunteers made him proud to be an American.

Thanks for sharing. This thread should be dedicated to similar stories....Only wonderful news allowed;)

So don't stop by....that was easy...
Have a lovely day....

Well I can see it's time to put the idiot on the ban list. It is so sad to see his miserable attempts to replace Mason. Bowel Woman should be ashamed that she can't recruit anyone but wine-O's and losers.

Only positive news and uplifting stories allowed here...how hard can it be to follow such a simple request?

Here’s a VERY uplifting one. The gay wife of a military veteran was denied burial with her in the military cemetary. She had to sue and the court struck down the unconstitutional law banning gay marriage.

What a touching ending, huh?

An older story, but...hey! That's the spirit...Ms. Taylor should hold out for space in the new cemetery being built. It's going to be very, very nice.
God Bless our Veterans, especially on this National Day of Prayer.

Mumbling incantations to oneself while on one's knees hoping that if you do it enough and get the magical words right you will live forever.
Pathetic induced insanity.

George Boone looks pretty damn good to be 96 as well if he is the guy in the middle of the photo.

The military used to only recognize actual marriage.
