A warning to liberals....

BULLSHIT!!

He denigrated his own service, by his actinos.
You're reasoning would be like every woman is a whore, just because you had a relative that was. :palm:

his heroism is a matter of record. how about yours?

silver stars and bronze stars mean something. what medals for heroism have you received?

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, look.
Maineman's only recourse is to pull out the "what have you received card".
You better stop critizing the Government or any officials, seeing as how you've never been elected.

LOL

That's it coward, run from the fact that he threw SOMEONE ELSE'S MEDALS over the White House fence.

I guess we should put everyone in for a PH, who received a splinter.

throwing a vietnam service medal or a national defense medal or a good conduct medal over a fence is not the same as throwing a silver star over a fence.... similarly, being awarded those other medals is not as noteworthy as being awarded a medal for heroism in battle.

Kerry deserved his medals for heroism and he deserved his purple hearts just as much as any other purple heart awardee deserved theirs.

and I do think it is pretty silly for someone who has never been in harm's wsay to denigrate as a coward someone who has and who has been decorated for valor and heroism while there.

but then, I'm not a chicken hawk, so I really can't understand where they are coming from to begin with.

Since you've never been elected President of the US, you need to shut the fuck up and stop complaining.

HE THREW SOMEONE ELSE'S MEDALS, YOU WHINEY LITTLE LIBERAL SUCK ASS.

Isn't this fun?? :cof1:

exactly.... he threw someone else's relatively meaningless medals ( such as the DMD, otherwise know as "alive in '75" 0 They are not anything of value to anyone.... If someone had wanted to throw real medals over the white house fence to protest the war in Iraq, I would have let them have my rifle expert medal, my pistol expert medal, my national defense medal for that purpose...

you should stop yelling..

So now you get to decide what medals are meaningless and which ones aren't.
If nothing else, you are a hoot. LOL

But then, why did Kerry try to get others to believe that he was throwing HIS medals??

I wasn't yelling; I was laughing at you, with great gusto.

Even funnier... Kerry lost to the person that he believes was the stupidest person ever, who got better grades than Kerry...

Kerry lost to Bush both in brains and in politics. Kinda sad really.

his heroism is documented by the fact that he won silver star and a bronze star. denigrate those and you are pissing on EVERY Vietnam vet who earned similar awards.

again, there is no reason to equate Kerry with every Vietnam vet....Kerry intentionally separated himself from every other Vietnam vet when he called them murderers.......

he didn't call every other vietnam vet a murderer.

"We who have come here to Washington have come here because we feel we have to be winter soldiers now. We could come back to this country; we could be quiet; we could hold our silence; we could not tell what went on in Vietnam, but we feel because of what threatens this country, the fact that the crimes threaten it, not reds, and not redcoats but the crimes which we are committing that threaten it, that we have to speak out"

thanks for proving my point.

FYI

On January 31, 1971, members of Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) met in a Detroit hotel to discuss war crimes they claimed to have participated in or witnessed during their combat tours in Vietnam. During the next three days, more than 100 Vietnam veterans and 16 civilians gave anguished, emotional testimony describing hundreds of atrocities against innocent civilians in South Vietnam, including rape, arson, torture, murder, and the shelling or napalming of entire villages. The witnesses stated that these acts were being committed casually and routinely, under orders, as a matter of policy.

In April, the VVAW stormed Washington in a week-long protest. At its height, spokesman John Kerry went before the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations to accuse the United States military of committing massive numbers of war crimes in Vietnam. The appearance launched Kerry's political career. The charges he made shocked and sickened a nation, changed the course of a war and stained the reputation of the American military for decades.

But the mass murder of civilians was never American policy in Vietnam. War crimes were the exception, not the rule. And the Winter Soldier tribunal itself -- which John Kerry had helped moderate -- turned out to be "packed with pretenders and liars."

----------

What happened when military investigators asked the "winter soldiers" for evidence of all the war crimes they had alleged? Mostly stonewalling, backtracking, and statements that failed to support the VVAW's claims...

Photograph of Kerry in War Crimes Museum in Saigon

Below the photograph of John Kerry are explanatory placards in English, French, Vietnamese, and Chinese. The English placard reads:

"Mr. Do Muoi, Secretary General of the Vietnamese Communist Party met with Congressman and Veterans Delegation in Vietnam (July 15-18, 1993)"

Senator Kerry may argue today that his anti-war protests did not render support to the enemy in time of war and that his activities did not violate the definition of treason given in Article III, Section 3, of the US Constitution. This exhibit paying tribute to Kerry in the War Protesters Hall of the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City tells a very different story. The Vietnamese communists clearly feel that the American anti-war protesters were a very important force in undermining support in the United States for American war efforts, a force that contributed materially to ultimate communist victory in 1975.

as a veteran from that time period, I do not think he denigrated himself at all.... loser chickenhawk republicans who were too fucking scared to actually go FIGHT in Vietnam did, but I just consider the source, and ignore them.
You didn't fight in Vietnam; you were safe in a boat offshore.

I do not think that any of his purple hearts were undeserved.

I served on MANY ships at sea, and I served in the middle of an ongoing civil insurgency in Lebanon.

Glad to see that YOU agree that you made several errors... I only wish you had been man enough to actually admit it.

Wow, a civil insurgency. How noble and brave.

Have you ever fired a gun at an enemy?
