Abortion groups tangle over Tim Tebow's Super Bowl ad

It was still a political message even though it was tone down so low you had to be looking for it. Put that liberal media thing to rest CBS is all rightwing ahole all the time.
 
I thought it was a good ad, they restrained themselves from addressing the question of if Abortion should be legal or not. They did what I have been saying they should do for years. Stop spending money and energy on trying to make it illegal and start spending money and energy on trying to make it rare!

I am all for this new approach!
 
Seriously. The big winner in all this "controversy" was Focus on the Family who ran a "branding ad" that didn't even mention a pro-life position or even abortion, the people who thought they should have been shut down gave them free advertisement and were made to look like panicking fools.
 
cbs the conservative broadcast network is afraid of the neocons, they have no problem shutting down liberal political messages like NORML's add getting axed.

Chances are NORML's ad was directly controversial. The assumption was that this ad was going to be controversial as well, it generated a TON of free advertising for Focus no the Family's cause and the knee-jerk reaction was exactly the reaction they sought.

FotF won this round, big time.
 
I achually never heard anyone say they were opposed to it, I heard a lot of Cons say that groups were opposed to it!

Please. On this very board there were "opposing" ads posted. Old women singing badly, etc.

You didn't "hear" it because you weren't paying attention, not because it didn't exist. Planned parenthood sent Public Radio a copy of their ad which included a bunch of people rejoicing in how much they respected their mothers (football players in their ad too), they played it for them...

And all of it long before anybody saw the ad.
 
YEAH, this was real offensive and I can see why those Grannies were all upset.
