Absolutely un-***** believable!

But it is pretty much inevitable that there will at least be a mention of a divine spirit or of an intelligence outside of our knowledge. Look at this thread. It has already happened.

Also, Mott stated "Because when the questions you pose are not based on natural phenomena your not discussing science". Which means he is only talking about natural phenomena. Science is only interested in natural phenomena.

Why is it such a cause for violent outrage to you liberals that someone disagrees with you?
Someone believes in god, why does that offend you?
Comes back to live and let live, liberals will not live and let live!

He does believe in God.

He does believe in God.

I don't have one problem with our belief in God until you suggest it is science, then I have a problem.

I do not have a problem with your belief in God until you suggest that your religious beliefs be used to create laws, then I have a problem with your religion.

Retarded post by a fucking retard !

I don't believe in god.
I have stated that many times.

But when scientific theories are taught as unquestionable fact to school kids, that could present problems.

Mott even said that children shouldn't question teachers about science, just take what they say as fact, though often science is not fact, it is belief.

What violent outrage? I have seen you post more hostile bullshit than most, and yet you want to talk about "live & let live"?

No one here is offended by anyone's beliefs. What we are talking about here is the science curriculum for public schools. I am VERY tolerant of other beliefs. What I am not tolerant of is idiots who wantto pretend pseudo-science should be taught in schools.

Scientific Theories are always open to change as new data becomes available. Every child who is taught actual science is taught about the scientific method, which gives them plenty of ways to change the theories.

Eh, he ridicules some people's beliefs. At least he is not posting lies about what people have said or what they believe.

of course they are ridiculing what people believe......from the OP
"It really hurts students. It can be embarrassing to be from a state which has become a laughing stock in this area," Kopplin said.

being embarrassed to consider a variety of options ought to make one a laughing stock, not what someone chooses to believe......

It is not a matter of proving what someone believes is not true. It is a matter of following set guidelines for scientific information.

None of these guys ever Did a science fair project? Unbelievable! How did they make it through school?

Teaching nonscientific hoopla in a science class does make people a laughing stock.

intelligent design is actually less "nonscientific hoopla" than the ridiculous suggestion of abiogenesis.....the "theory" that if you sit and watch a mud puddle long enough shit will just happen.......why does that not make us a laughing stock......

Well, unless that puddle is an ocean, filled with countless cell-like structures, and you're watching it for millions of years.
