One of my best buddies is going through his second divorce now. His current was a damn knock-out when they got married, and he had a great business and was making large dollars. They had two kids then he got into some legal problems and ended up in Club Fed for two years. That put a huge strain on her, she had to carry the mortgage by herself and she gained about 50 pounds and lost her hotness totally. He got out and re-built his career and paid off their debt, then she filed.

I think its her revenge.

Could be; but she obviously stayed by him, while he was in the joint.
Is there a possibility that he's referencing her weight gain and not being supportive of her??

She did stay by him, but I think the strain just eventually got to her. While he was at Club Fed he used the time to work on his new business plan, kept a good diet regimen and worked out. He looked great when he got out and she looked like a pig and I think she resented that also. He tried to get her to lose the weight and of course she resented that as well. So he said "fuck it" and gained 50 himself and then she resented that.

Seriously when this gal was 30 she was absolutely stunning. I'm talking Miss America type: 5-10, 36-24-36. Smart too; a specialized nurse, well paid and very independent. She grew up with her mom after her father divorced her and they were dirt poor in Iowa, ate feed corn they stole from the farm next door and burned the stalks during the winter to keep warm.

I think she resents the life that her dad gave her and sees the same deal happening with her husband somehow.

I can understand you taking your friends side; because most of us do the same.

I can see her side, and consider her a friend as well. The man has his problems; my wife says he's bipolar. She's a detailed planner for everything including social activities and he's a free spirit; would think nothing of going on an overseas vacation without booking hotels first. She was attracted to that part of him but now is not.

What I was referring to; was that you said she looked like a pig, after gaining 50 lbs, but didn't refer to him the same way, after he gained 50 lbs also.

Maybe, but she should have known that going in. He hasn't changed and never will.

He's coming up this weekend to go skiing and I'm looking forward to his usual outrageous antics. In fact all my usual ski buddies know this guy from the few times they've met of by reputation. :clink:

To me adultry is having sex with another persons wife.

I am more bothered that the study must have relied on interview data which is not very reliable. Without more studies duplicating these results it offers very little support.
